sometimes I have cravings for psychedelics I can't fulfill. either because:
  • I don't have access to them
  • Or I'm trying to limit usage
I listen to terence mckenna lectures and go to sleep as substitute. sometimes I take meds or herbs for sleep. works really well.

how have you satisfied psychedelic cravings?

I don’t have any cravings; unfortunately, mushies just don’t seem to have any effect on me anymore. Every three months or so, I’ll try a dose of 3–4 g + harmala but they’re consistently ineffective, which is kind of a bummer.

I would like to combine mushies with harmala, but at this point, that doesn’t seem to produce any meaningful entheogenic effect.

I do have access to Cacurna, Chaliponga, Acacia confusa, and, strangely enough, AC does appear to have an effect on me. However, I don’t feel particularly comfortable taking these herbs, mainly because I once read a shaman talking about people who had supposedly irreparably harmed themselves through frequent use of these plants. The idea was that they can open up your energetic field and allow foreign energies to attach themselves to your being.

I’ve taken these plants like anyone else on this forum and haven’t experienced anything particularly negative myself, but what the shaman said did make me wary of these specific plants.

I don’t know whether the same concerns would apply to a harmala-and-mushie combination. My feeling is that harmala combined with DMT-containing plants is somewhat different from combining harmala with mushrooms.
