makes perfect sense! nice little find brother! very interesting! i will be sharing this with my circles. i have very sharp memories of when i was an adolescent (like 8 years old) that i used to think about how life was just the dream of some superior being (before the concept of God was ever crammed down my throat). now that i've been peeling my onion for so long, i couldn't imagine going back to complete oblivion. i do find it interesting that intelligence leads to more risky behaviors (in some ways) rather than "self preservation". although, i don't feel that psychedelics are "risky". i think coke, meth, herion and pills are risky. i think dosing is one of the safest forms of drug use. i'm not jeopardizing my future...i'm just checking to see if there is one...
I wonder if the day will ever come when the conclusion of this article becomes accepted fact and people start adding a new section to their CVs, outlining how theyre an asset to an employer/humanity in general because of their chemical inclinations......?
BUT, then again, I would view such a CV listing butane(lighter-gas) and DXM in a slightly different way to one mentioning ayahuasca and ibogaine..
thanks for the share vovin,
Came across another similar press release while doing some research from the first one:
Intelligent People Have "Unnatural" Preferences and Values That Are Novel in Human Evolutionary History
Higher intelligence is associated with liberal political ideology, atheism, and men's (but not women's) preference for sexual exclusivity
I don't think these research studies tell us anything a few hours on this board wont clearly show. People here in my experience tend to be more intelligent and far more capable of communicating effectively. It only takes a few minutes on just about any other non psychoactive board to see the stark contrast in membership.
vovin- couldn't agree more. i looked through a lot of forums, even joined a few but was very displeased. stumbled acrossed this page and was sucked in and started looking around. loved how openly and freely everyone shared. psychedelics open your mind and fill it with a lust for more knowledge...
As I see it, for one to enter the other side and make progress they must be a philosopher, a warrior and a poet.
A philosopher to understand what they has experienced
A warrior to have the courage to stand against a power that overwhelms
A poet to properly tell of those journeys.
