Improve Freebase yield in NPS before FASI

Hi, I just basified the solvent and am planning to add Xylene as NPS.
As I have putted the basified solvent in refrigerator for a while, there's a lot of freebase precipitated on the bottom.

And I'm thinking what if I filtered the precipitated freebase out and putted them in a new container, then dissolve them in the NPS directly, afterward go with FASI.

Will it improve the yield, what do you think?

Thanks.

Yea. It could be anything. Best bet is to let it warm back up before adding solvent(xylene). Also, you might have a hard time filtering that out.

And what you mean to be saying is basified solution. Xylene is your solvent. The mix of plant material, base, and water is your solution.

If It is precipitated DMT, the xylene will have no trouble picking it up anyhow. But experience shows DMT to float in a sufficiently concentrated basic slurry. If you used hard tap water, it's probably just basic calcium/magnesium carbonates that precipitated.
