In the middle of first extraction..

And SWIM's starting to think the naptha isnt going to seperate from the base mix. Using Cyb's A/B tek and was wondering if maybe it was shook too hard when mixing solvent/solution and created emulsions (the naptha geting trapped in the basic solution, correct?) Anyways if thats the case, how would could SWIM break it up and get the first pull? Any help will be appreciated, Thank god for the nexus!

One time when I used salt it took 1/2 hour to separate...then after that it was fine.
Give it time...

make sure it's 'watery enough'
edit:btw. emulsion=layer of microbubbles underneath the nap layer

yeah its definitely watery. no sludginess at all to it.

yeah add as much salt as you can besides DMT is insoluable in salty water therefore it floats into the solvent for you.

Don't worry about emulsions, just remember when using STB to always add as much grams of NaOh as MHRB, adding 12ml of distilled water to each gram of either.
