I'm deeply worried about the situation in india. It has always been a country with cosmopolitan traits as well as tensions around religion, poverty and extreme income unequality.
Contrary to the saying 'and never the two shall meet', i find that western and indian civilization have much in common and are very alike. In a globalized world, with a declining influence from the west, india would be an important country. As well for the west as for the spread/representation of democracy in the rest of the world.
It's democracy being healthy and stable is of vital importance for the future of our globalized world.

Yes the situation there is disturbing, I was in Mumbai in 2006 and was walking around in the Taj Hotel, and a few of the other areas that were attacked. This is a horrible thing that has happened to a beautiful country which I was planning to visit again in this coming year. I do sense American involvement in this however, eye witnesses said that some of the shooters were foreigners with blond hair, another had a 'punk' style hair cut, this honestly looks to be a Blackwater operation to me rather than Muslims from Pakistan. They were also on camera in a cafe before the attacks drinking beer, Mulims don't drink alcohol. Attack India, blame Pakistan, India and America attack Pakistan, US is happy. The American government has had it's eye on Pakistan for years and it is also a key country that they want to control to further their Global control agenda in Eurasia.

My opinion.
