Does anyone have any real, hard, legitimate information about precisely HOW Mimosa is used in skincare products?

I want to know everything about how and why this plant is used in the industry...

Eventually I might hit a day when the harmalas just aren't enough and I get some crow's feet around my eyes. ;) As I have learned from brewing my own Ayahuasca, making your own stuff from scratch is always the best. I prefer plant-based (preferably edible) body products over chemical ones.

This is all purely hypothetical, of course. ;) But literally, for the love of Mimosa, how can I utilize this wonderful plant in other ways? :)

As far as I know, the tannic acid in mimosa is used as an astringent. Astringent can be used to help stop bleeding for wounds because astringent causes contraction of tissues, like skin cells. Astringents also have an anti septic effect. Astringents are also good for oily skin. A typical astringent cleanser is something like Neutrogena's "Clear Pore" product, which contains salicylic acid. It is a great cleanser. Astringent would not be a good beauty product for wrinkles or dry skin. Astringents dry the skin.

Are you thinking of making a mimosa line of products? Can I go in to business with you? My best guess is that the tannic acid could have potential use as an astringent.

I got no idea about skin care, but I can say both from personal experience and from close people that tried, is that it works for certain cuts or skin problems. Simply add a bit of water to some powdered mimosa in a cup so that its still "sandy" and not all watery. So spread that sandy watery mimosa in the afflicted area (whether its a cut or burn or herpes or probably a few other things), and let it dry. Just keep it there for as long as you can, wash and add more after a while, do that over a couple of days, and you should notice some definite improvement.

I dont know if thats how they traditionally did but it worked with me others. Let us know if you guys try anything, how it works for you
