Does "whenever the existence of such salts is possible" directly point to dmt in plant form?

If you live in the US, you might gonna have a bad time. However, if you live in the Europe, the UN Convention on Psychotropic Substances is very clear on this:

"The cultivation of plants from which psychotropic substances are obtained is not controlled by the Vienna Convention. . . . Neither the crown (fruit, mescal button) of the Peyote cactus nor the roots of the plant Mimosa hostilis nor Psilocybe mushrooms themselves are included in Schedule 1, but only their respective principals, mescaline, DMT and psilocin."

Now, they have found a way around this on Psilocybin mushrooms, but ayahuasca plants are still unregulated. So, if you're European, enjoy it while it lasts.

I would like to provide you data for other countries, such as Asian countries and Australia, but I really know nothing.

Edit: Still, if you import small quantities, such as kilo or two, they're not going to bat an eye. If you import really much, they'll probably get interested.

Look at your local country's laws.

Sweden had a glorious case in the high court a few months ago, where it was concluded once and for all:

1. The mimosa bark and any other drug-containing plant materials are totally legal. They said: "Plant materials are not yet a drug, so it doesn't matter that it contains a scheduled substance." They referred the U.N. convention on psychedelics.
2. Grinding down bark to make powder is totally legal.
3. Having actual DMT or an ongoing extraction process (like lye-water with bark in it) is illegal.

But Sweden has a special, fucked up import law which says that the toll police can destroy anything they want, even if it is legal. And they are known to destroy mimosa shipments if you are unlucky. So order from low-risk EU countries so that you get the lowest possible risk of toll inspection. :d
