Hello all!

I am very excited to finally be apart of this community. I have been watching from afar, learning from the posts of current (and previous) members for quite some time. I first extracted DMT from Jurema (Mimosa teniflora)three years ago. I continued my exploration with Acacia confusa and soon found it to be a great alternative to its Amazonian counterpart. For sustainability reasons I am looking into Phalaris extractions. Grasses grow quickly and it might be an excellent route to take.

I rarely partake of DMT. I was very impressed with what it taught me the first few times but I feel like I have little to learn from it anymore and so I have stopped administering it to myself albeit special occasions. I still am very interested in the chemistry of these compounds however.

I have been eager to use this knowledge of alkaloid extraction on different sources. I have made a few attempts at mescaline extraction all from T. pachanoi. Finding just the right method is proving to be a bit of a challenge. I have plans to characterize the content of mescaline in different areas of the cactus. I have read in many posts that through anecdotal reports there seems to be a greater concentration of mescaline in the outer flesh. I aim to show evidence of this. My goal is to make methods that are hassle-free and uses the smallest volume of material possible. Doing so might increase the purity of the substance and therefore reduce the amount lost due to cleanup procedures.

Other plans I have in the making include mycelium cultivation as well as subsequent extractions. Now that I have some experience I feel like it would be a good time to share while I begin to develop my own techniques. I believe the Nexus is a community where I can feel welcome to embrace this science in a society where that is not so easy to do. Safety in numbers and such.

Oh I also have a few bioassays that I will share as soon as I can find my notebook

Thanks and happy trips

Welcome to the nexus , I hope you use this membership to it's full advantage , also can I ask if you dot partake in dmt any longer , why the need to extract , if like me I find it very therapeutic , but I just hope you're not extracting or stock piling for other reasons ! but again welcome !!

In the past three years I have extracted about 5g total through several different procedures. Most of that was used to enhance leaf and was shared around the fire with friends. That was all well and great. Personally though I think DMT is somewhat too intense sometimes and I like to choose my time with it very carefully and with focus and intent. I want to find a more relaxing compound to work with, e.g. mescaline or psilocin, one that does not carry with it the anxiety and level of focus that comes with a DMT experience.

But you are right Earthwalker I do find the extraction a reward in itself. Luckly the extraction procedures for alkaloids are very similar for different species and so methods can be carried over from my experience with DMT and I still get that same sense of accomplishment. :d

In the mean time I will probably continue to look for sustainable techniques for extraction of DMT as well

Hi B
DMT is intense. Welcome. IMO It is not really a recreational substance to share on unsuspecting guests around a camp fire.
"A MORE relaxing compound". ? Even Ayahausca is so 'not' relaxing.

What are you looking for when using DMT ? 'Intense' tells me IT has a message for you.

Maybe extracting is a meditation for you, you even sound like you know what you are doing.
But.....why :)

hello bombastus, this was enjoyable to read. :) thank you for taking time to shell out some personal info onto the wide web with the priveledges and rights it is able to have.

i'd like to describe you as very cautiously individual but i don't quite know your personality all too well at this point :)

but i think that i'd like to learn more from you and other members. so if you achieve full membership be sure to occasionally drop me a pm or something; to keep in touch.

of course if you're okay with that. i'm trying to get aqquainted with many people to learn more about the culture of the nexus.

in some ways i like to think that i'm personally studying the nexus to figure out "How" to give back to the community most effectively. and to understand "whom" i am able to give back to.

this is why i enjoy that they have a chat section :) this way i can learn why we're even doing all this and i think there's definite and constantly changing "reasons" i hope the nexus thrives perhaps even centuries into time.

i only hope that it allows everyone to develop with a rythmatic, sensative, "flow" guided by a certain, deliberate "rythm"; designed to create "something" out of the world.

i nominate that the site is improved epathically; in regards to communication.

if possible. or i the "time is right"; so to speak.

:P

WOW! i really love your writting style personally. you should contact a youtube near your internet and keyboard; and look into watching zefrank videos. i say this mostly because you seem to understand a variably large amount of attention to details and i think the philosopher could be an interesting character to learn from. :P (random song due to a psychologically-genetical and socially caused lack of formal "attention to focus" {ADHD! ASPERGERS AUTISM AAAND BIPOLAR DISORDER! (s?) [still haven't figured "it" out for myself; but [*insert determination here*] ]}

also i'd like to say that if you're up to chatting sometimes i'd like to talk if you're ever near the chat area; personally i try to be a little bit of everywhere; every now and then that is... :P

but anywaize, pickles;.. i mean regards: "AM" [*insert random emogi here*] :P :) :d 😁 :want: :) :| :( :surprised :?: ;)

uhm... i hope no one thinks of that as sexual enuendo. ... ? XD the way i'm reading such words in written format it looks like sexual enuendo. just saying though.

ohh and bombastus/anyone else! i nearly forgot: i wrote a post about challanging the nexus (basically) to write higher quality trip reports for DMT (basically a post where the nexus "pushes itself"; so to speak. or at least in that specific post) although i didn't quite phrase it that way. well, i'd like to extend the "challange" to you and anyone wishing to be a part of my posty-thingy magigger.

but anyways, the challange basically is to write a completely individually inspired "blank" description of " The DMT "experience" that "you" specifically "get". "

and its an ongoing and patient post so please take as much time as "you" must. because i want it to be a high quality piece of content and stuff and yeah.

but whomever can at least can post one highly worked on trip report i will feel gracious for such people being active in that specific post :) even if "we" have to try again and again on a "perfected" post. basically i just want a little experiment. 😁

thanks (everyone/anyone)

I guess what I mean is I'd like more time to integrate the experience. I don't think that DMT is for everyone but I think you can learn a lot from it and certainly urge others to try it. What do I look for? Well I can't say I'm not always looking for something specifically every time I go to that place. You can say I am a bit of an explorer (my guess is we all are). When I go somewhere I've never been before I want to know everything about it. That's something I've done since I was a child where I always enjoyed the challenge of finding hidden rooms or new hallways to walk down when I was somewhere I'd never been. Hyperspace is by far the strangest place that I've ever been to and so when I took those first few steps I knew that I'd be back.
Now I definitely do not claim to have seen everything in hyperspace. I don't think that's even possible. The reason I've slowed down on my consumption is that I feel like it all comes at me too fast anymore. I've tried DMT with psilocin and I thought that was a great combination! It seemed to prolong my stay in hyperspace so that I could, in some sense, see myself and my surroundings and have long and (somewhat) meaningful dialogue rather than just have vague memories of it afterward like a dream from the start of the night. I find it hard to learn anything from that kind of experience.
Ayahuasca or enhanced leaf helps too but I've gotten major headaches from harmala alkaloids repeatedly after consumption so I have stopped taking those all together. Some people just can't take certain drugs :/

The problem I have with DMT (by itself) is that every time you go there there appears in front of you a hall you've never seen before with all kinds of doors and hidden rooms but the worst thing about is that you can only walk a few steps. Maybe if you're lucky, open that first room. That teases my exploration side more and more but I never seem to be able to last long enough to actually map out those surroundings you know? Map it out meaning being able to have good recall and memorable conversations with the spice people etc. This is all just an analogy but I hope you understand what I mean.

Just to be clear I HAVE and DO use DMT just not too often anymore is all. If I continue to extract DMT it would be with aims for a sustainable method for two reasons. One, I just don't need the amount that I've extracted in the past, a gram would last me about a year if not more, and two I want other people to know how to grow and extract their own in the privacy of their own homes. If I want that I'm sure there are others who want the same thing. In the mean time though I want to extract DMTs allies like psilocin and mescaline. Those alone have just as much to gain as DMT does and when used in combination they reinforce one another and so you get the best of both worlds so to speak.

Also another thing I've noticed after using DMT for three years, I seem to get more drowsy after a trip than I used to. Has anyone else noticed this effect after long time use?

Oh and Alex, thanks for the warm welcome. Like I said, I have a few trip reports that I am willing to share with everyone. They are in a notebook around here somewhere. I just moved so everything is still finding its place. Anyway, hopefully those will be of some use.
