Hey Guys,
I have been reading the forum for a few weeks now and decided to join, the attitude of everyone seems to be very respectful and supporting. I looks to me that most members are truly looking at the subject on a deeper way, trying to research, learn, and get share meaningful experiences with DMT, so it seemed like the right place to be in.
A bit of history about why I ended up here and why I got interested in DMT. It all started a couple of years ago when I became obsessed with psychology and neuroscience. I started reading most of what I could get my hands on in the subjects and got myself immersed in a journey to understand my own psychology and neurology. Most recently, my main focus has been on researching the way we learn and the most efficient forms of practice to achieve mastery. During my research I came across some material on neuroplasticity which explained how after several days of using inverted goggles (goggles with prisms that make you see the world upside down) your neurology will change and feed you the images straight up even though your are seeing upside down through the goggles.
Not making the story longer than it needs to be, I got the goggles, read about some other studies of neuroplasticity and started to experiment a bit with my brain. After further study, a thought began to come up often… what about studying and experiencing temporary changes in the chemistry of my brain… this thought led me to read about psychedelics and finally to DMT.
My purpose with DMT began with the idea of simply studying and experimenting with my own body with different substances, but it has recently evolved into opening myself up to new experiences and incorporate this great gift of nature into my life, and for that I have to thank the forum, it was my readings of the awesome and interesting members here that got me to see beyond my simple curiosity. I am very new to all of this but I hope it will be quite rewarding as I gain both knowledge and experience. I’m glad to be here among you to share this new aspect of my life.
