Introduction plus humble reminder to myself.

Where to start? Knowing that you are all open minded, and after reading such positive threads on nexus has convinced me that there are a bunch of people who will not read this intro with anything else but support.

I am due to make my first extraction method using Acacia in the next two weeks and I've been reading ferociously on all nexus and think I'm ready for it.

I will post results in the relevant section when the time comes.

A huge thank you to the contributors of The Open Hyperspace Traveler too. Can't believe it's taken me so long to find this faction of positive energy. I will continue to read and support this community and hope I get to contribute and help others find answers to life's complex problems.

I imagine he home achools his kids perhaps? So there pretty much always at the house. how old are your kids man. What do they know and how would they react. Lol ill gaurantee failure/bad karma in your future if you go aBout things In the manner youve described. Your breeding terrible energies. And Im really hoping you see why. Alter your plan. As far as the kids and the extraction- can they go to grandma's house for a weekend? That should be more than enough time if you begin the freeze/thaw process a few days ahead of time. I disagree with tydel... I do not believe that you are breeding bad energy or bad karma. But I do think it is important for you to be mindful of the others who live in the home - which it appears as though you are, IMO.

There ya go. I hope I didn't let ya down or nothing. Its just that when you subject your family/friends to it, it can just turn into a real messy process. I'm really gonna do my best throwing together a no electric Over fire 95% outdoor. Talk bout some good energy . Natures blessings lol. I'm not sure what your plan is, I just read 2 kids. Homeschool. Kitchen window. Its really a lot to take Care of especially if your tieing up the stove on boils. And fillling up several 2 ltr. Bots full of juice and jamming your fridge with them. But I may be too meticulous about filtering. Ive heard from some that it can run fine unFiltered. And that takes me a day alone at the least. But your first time. Its gonna take ya a while to get weekend efficient. And be happy with Any sort of satisfying yield

Awesome. The n I'm definitely issuing an apology to you. Misunderstanding. See I assumed something completely different. Like you living in the U.S.(not sure the difference in sentencing) (lighter I'd hope) ,and allowing it far too close to children , which anyone who has kids would relate and not respect themselves to let them be seen running xtracts with them so close. I have 2 myself. And I know i could keep a safe environment. I feel like they see right through me with everything. And there both still under 4!!!! But its also the monster that they would make you out to be. I really don't know if wanton endangerment would be an issue or not. But I always assume they would stick ya with it. They sure would here if you were wanted bad enough. What a different world your country probably is compared to this. I'm glad to hear your AU! And jealous.

And why would you LOL about guaranteeing failure and bad karma. That seems out of line. Someone could just as easily say to you that your disrespectful tone will guarantee you failure in life...... Or that you are breeding terrible energies by talking that way.

I dont see anything wrong with what King of Snakes has proposed. As long as all the extraction materials are kept in a very very safe place.

No stress at all and no need to apologise, ever! I feel pretty privileged to be living in AU. Especially as I moved here recently from the UK where the situation there in many respects is a lot different.

Seems a lot of traffic in the Acacia threads is on the decimation of the Acacia tree in many areas and I think more awareness needs to be made to all Australians on this forum that conservation of this sacred plant should come first and foremost. I can really see myself having a part to play in those threads. I'm merely a tourist on the sacred land of the Dja Dja Wurrung people and owe everything what I have to that amazing culture.

Welcome KoS! I also have two little kids (2 and 1 y/o) and a wife which tolerates though she doesn't partake. So I have some experience in the combination of a family with psychedelic exploration. That topic deserves a thread of its own so I wont linger there. My question is, once you have your spice, where and how are you planning to blast off? I ask this because in my experience a "window" of time is not ideal (even if for the extraction this could suffice). Though the trip lasts for 3 - 15 minutes I have found that you cannot rush into it just because you have a 4 hour window where your wife and kids are gone. In my case this is the ideal way of invoking a bad trip. I need to have the day or night off to slowly build up the right mind set and in your case you should definitely have a sitter, preferably someone who has already some DMT experience. I'm not saying this applies to you as it does to me, just take some time to think about it, more so due to the fact that you have NO IDEA what DMT is like and it will exceed all your expectations. It is NOT the same thing to read about DMT trips than actually being there. Those are my 2 cents.

Many thanks for your input. This is indeed an important topic and stepping in to the unknown is something that should be treated with caution.

I've always had the optimum experiences when using lsd, and more so Salvia, when I used to explore on my own and in a rural setting. I like my 'tree time' and the feeling of being outdoors not just visually but with all my senses. The 'breakthrough' on Salvia (if you can call it that??) was always a rough and confusing one, with no real insight provided. I experienced the most bizarre hallucinations (one of which has been seared in to my mind for years, wonder if this will rear its head in future DMT experiences?) and started perceiving them as reality, which was strange yet frustrating.

One thing for sure though, is that I can and like to go walking and interacting with nature on lsd. Salvia put me flat out on my back. With DMT's effect on me unknown, this will need research.

I'll admit, at present I'm reading mainly DMT extraction and chemical information, making extensive notes and have given this topic less thought. I know that I don't like to run tasks concurrently. Something that I'm almost conditioned to do is look at things consecutively... If I do get spice then after I've uploaded results and notes, put that aside and then focus on the next part of the journey. That's just the way I am I guess

Having children is such a learning process in life like no other. The opportunity to learn about your bahaviour, to actaully see it in action. Both the good and the bad, and how it affects and shapes another human being. An insightful process and like it or not, one that we're biologically all here to do.

I'd like to thing that we're here to merely facilitate our children's journey in life and not tell them who to be but that's for a separate thread!

This was a misunderstanding, and I apologized for not seeing the situation for what it was. There will be no more talk of bad energies. Far as I'm concerned this guy is going all the way. And he deserves too. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to help ya

DMT will also put you flat on your back if you break through. DMT in a natural or rural setting sounds good, but still I recommend you to do it very very safely until you know what you are facing. As with salvia, you will not be "yourself" for about 15-20 minutes so any setting which can deliver harm within a 15-20 min time-frame should be avoided without a sitter. From what I read I get the impression you will not do something stupid but then again I have seen a lot of people apparently proceeding with caution before their first trip and then reporting back to the forum with their tails between their legs. It's been said a thousand times but it's worth repeating it: Only DMT can prepare you for DMT. Again, from what I read I think you'll be ok! Safe travels
