I've never specifically seen it, but there are a lot of pH additives in the hydroponic/gardening section in Bunnings.

Update: Finally got some crystals! The defatting from the 2nd A/B really seemed to help... There's still a tiny amount of oil but it was a pretty dirty mix. At least I know I'm heading in the right direction.

I got crystal from half a pull (the other half is evaporating, looks like it could have a small amount of DMT in it)... 0.15g heh, and even then there was still a small amount of oil in the bowl. The 2nd pull is in the freezer and to add to the trouble the shot glass miraculously fell over! So asides from having shellite through my freezer I don't know how much active material I would have lost, there appears to be some crystal on the sides still but I don't think it'll end up being anything too great.
Still have the 4 ltr container sitting on the bathroom sink and it looks like I could actually get another pull. It's been sitting for a few days, I don't know if there's any issues with that?
I was introduced to someone locally who coincidentally has a lot of experience with DMT/Acacia & A/B in general. He said despite people commenting that defatting isn't required he's always needed to do it to get a decent result.
I was thinking of following the Lextek by the book (except HCl over Vinegar), using 1-2kg of bark this time.

Quick update... I acquired some more bark, I actually found a few massive dying trees where the bark was literally falling off and didn't really have to disturb anything. Hard to judge but I came across well over 5kg without a lot of effort.
Working with the DMT-handbook, it's all coming along fine so far. I broke my blender & coffee grinder, the best I could do was get it down to stripped/fibre like quality instead of powder but it cooked up ok... Filtered all the shit out of it and reduced it (using about 1kg of bark, 3 acid cooks reduced down to about 1ltr of bark tea). When I get home I'll finish off the process.
Mumbles - I'll take your word for it, if it's clean enough I won't worry about the defatting.
One thing I came across this time around, there's a lot of moss-like material covering a lot of the bark so I opted for a lot of cleaner looking trees. Just wondering if this stuff will come out fine in the mix or if it will somehow contaminate the product. I assume it'll be fine since there'll be trace amounts. Pic below is about the worst I've seen.
Reading through the 'Grow your own field of dreams', I have to say that I get some satisfaction going out and collecting the material myself, seems more inline to the spirit/idea of DMT. Seeing the plants in form, I'm even starting to appreciate the appearance of them and take notice when I'm driving around. Actually looking forward to seeing them flower heh. The area where I went this time they were insanely dense, the Acuminata seemed to outnumber everything and even grew along the roads for 10-20kms.

Had a lot more success here... 1g, still quite yellow and there was a lot of oil left over. Purifying it at the moment and hope to test it out this weekend.
Also for the weekend... A group of us are going camping by a lake/forest.
Anyway, thanks for the help guys. I'll leave this thread as is and hopefully can get into normal posts sometime in the future. I should post a trip report once I breakthrough.
