Is ot ok to add lye after the MHRB?

So I just started my first extraction, and I put the MHRB in the jug first and then added the water and lye. Is this OK? Most teks say the MHRB should be added to the lye solution and not the other way around. I just hope the heat didn't degrade the DMT.

it is fine.

one important thing you *should* remember though is always add lye to water, not water to lye.

Yeah I know , that's one of the most important rules of chemistry haha. Thanks for the reply, I was just worried about the heat from the reaction.
