lye and ph

I'm having trouble getting ph to 13. i keep adding lye and the ph doesn't seem to change. is there point where adding lye won't change ph? over saturation? A i wrong to think more lye means higher PH? i'm useing 100% lye..

If you are following an Extraction TEK or recipe and using the stated amounts then maybe you don't need to worry about checking pH, I certainly never check pH.

Or is it something else you are doing?

Your pH meter won't like measuring that high a pH. It's probably a false reading, or at least out of calibration.

ph13 is very high, it's okay if it doesn't get that high

At some point, it will all just solidify - so at least we can set that as an upper limit.
