i still haven't used any of the spice i made i've been kind of busy and just waiting for the right time. I'm going to a music festival soon it's nothing huge or loud but i was just curious if it's something you can do where other people can see you who may not know what's going on. what does a person look like while they're in hyperspace? is it a calm relaxed look or is it like eyes closed on a salvia trip with you twitching or speaking jibberish. if this is a rediculous question i apologize i'm just really trying to take this seriously and show it some respect. i've read alot about the spice's potential and just dont want my first experience to be a bad one

It will be likely be pretty obvious what you're doing but only to those in the know. I tend to sit or lay perfectly still with mouth agape and usually a big stupid smile as it nears the end.

Noo it's not a ridiculous question at ALL =)

Everyone has slightly different reactions, but during the peak of the experience I look quite normal- serene with my eyes closed like I'm taking a nap. I don't think anyone would be able to tell I'd just smoked DMT by looking at me.
But as the effects are diminishing I can get a little hysterical (giggling & etc) if it was a particularly beautiful experience- so this part may look a little odd to a random.

I've smoked DMT at an outdoor psytrance party in the forrest, was mainly close friends from the scene I knew that were attending- so I was fairly comfortable just spreading out a blanket with plenty of cosey pillows in the field nearby to the dancefloor.
Though it was a really nice experience & I don't regret choosing that setting, it's not something I personally would do again- simply because I've come to see it as a more personal, sacred experience that I don't really want anyone around for (except for my boyfriend.)

So just based off that, I would probably recommend for the first time you chose a more personal setting as if you do it at a music festival theres quite a good chance you will be interrupted, and unless you know all or most of the people who will be there- you don't really want random people bringing in negative vibes to your space (hehe that sounds a little psuedo new age I know, but really, at a lot of festivals there are plenty of very drunk & loud randoms usually who aren't exactly bringing much peace or serenity into the equasion.)

kaleidoscope eyes has it right.Particulalry for a first-time blast off I would suggest a comfortable setting where the unknown variables (effect of spice excluded!) are kept to a minimum.

A music festival is a terrible place to experience Spice for the first time, IMO.

Too many distractions at a party, set & setting plays such a big role in the journey.

I sit still while there, and the only time ive ever had to move around is when ive puked from hyper/cybersickness. That said, do it at home, DMT isnt a party drug.

I agree with gammagore ^^^

Also, antics during the trip seem to be much less noticeable than antics after the trip... i.e., shouting "HOLY SHIT!" or asking "WHAT THE FUCK?" over and over again as if perhaps God will come down and answer your question: what the hell just happened?

Another argument for doing it at home is you have the comfort of your various equipment and tools (scales, various smoking devices, extra spice) near at hand. I know if I headed out to a music fest on my first time, the only chance I'd have had of a breakthrough would be with a couple of lighters and a GVG loaded with 100+ mg of spice. It was astonishingly hard to get right, even though I went into it prepared with many, many weeks of poring over Nexian documents behind me.

Don't forget insanely loud crying...

One time I smoked spice, and my friends said I was making moaning sounds like I was having sex. I didn't even blast off, but I was still completely unaware of this. Guess I just couldn't contain myself. Personally, I don't think other people knowing would be a big deal, but if you're as concerned as to ask, then maybe your concern creates too big of a negative stimulus for the trip around all those people. The great thing about spice is that you're probably not gonna need crazy music and an eclectic light show, as it can work it's own light and sounds magic.

Lol same here. I love to watch a first timer blast off and wait for that big retarded smile. I recomend you do it at home in a nice comfy place.

ha, just realized my first post was not very helpful at actually answering the question at hand. Like everyone else has said Gangaley, it's best to have your first experience at home or in a comfortable place so you can gauge exactly how you'll react to it.

it's a small music festival where most of the people who dont do psycadelics leave by the second day. after that it's mostly people who are there to explore themselves. a lot of the people who go are close friends of mine who i've had plenty of mind altering experience with so i feel very comfortable around them. the majority of the festival is a lage group around tents in the woods feeding off eachother energy. i would really rather not do it at home tho i really dont like tripping in my house it gives me kinda bad vibes.
would it be good if i just sat in my tent for the first time or would a confined space like that freak me out?

i can relate i cannot do it in my house . it does, for whatever reason create a weird mostly negative vibe.
Also i keep the house as a sanctuary of narmalcy. seeing my daily environment twisted around into alien geometry makes me feel uneasy.

Outside in nature really works. if the weather is good find a nice spot under some trees perhaps.
Put a blanket down and see how it feels first. if it doesn't feel right move to another spot. IN my book the place you choose is really important. sometimes it takes me hours to find the right spot really. Make sure there is no man made noise around. That means anything, talking, music, engine noises any kind of man-made noise no good.

i always think of it like a caterpillar trying to find a spot to transform itself to a butterfly.

This has the potencial to be a major life changing experience for you. There are no guarantees right off the bat but it is very likely. Treat the spot you choose and the vibe you create as a sacred place where major tranformative moment in your life will take place and you will be fine.

just flow with it and breath..........

i found a few people who are going to the festival with me now who have done dmt multiple times and said that they would help me through my first breakthrough. they said it would be could to be able to communicate what i saw after with people who are having experiences with me. i'm not as nervous as i thought i would i'm becomming more excited as the date gets closer. i really appreciate all the advice and as soon as i get back i'll post my experiences for everyone.

In terms of confined spaces, I think that would really become an issue with the longer-lasting, multi-hour psychedelics, but with spice, that particular aspect would probably be of little concern by my best estimates. I always have done it in small rooms, so maybe not as confining as a tent, but the position of the walls never seemed to be overwhelming or anything of the sort, whereas on acid or shrooms, or even ayahuasca, I'm constantly inclined to change settings, and preferably to be in more open ones.
