Is this a safe and easy method of extraction? (STB)

Just found this on Reddit, it's got videos to go with the process which is a big plus for me as it would help me follow along much better:

I was wondering if you guys could tell me if this is a safe and beginner friendly method... or if there are any others I should rather be following.

I would avoid the sodium carbonate wash altogether personally as it creates issues for may people and often causes significant loss of yields. The amount of lye in this tek for such a small volume of water is excessive and more water should be used to avoid emulsions.
