Is This Anhydrous? MSDS info included

I have purchased a container of Klean-Strip acetone from a local hardware store. I was planning on doing the anhydrous magnesium sulfate conversion to create anhydrous acetone, but upon looking up the MSDS I do not believe I need to do so...

That is all the MSDS contains regarding the ingredients in their acetone...and this is coming directly from a download off of their site. If I am correct, this brand of acetone contains just that, only acetone? Its the only ingredient listed and is listed at 100%...does this mean I do not need to convert it into anhydrous acetone?

SWIM was thinking of using this same acetone for a FASA extraction.

MSDS is not the only document that you should check, when you buy chemicals from the manufacturer they give you the MSDS plus a report of the batch, it includes impurities, water content etc...

MSDS is just a safety requirement, but it doesn't have all the information about the batch.

You basically can't... that's why users recommend to further dry the acetone.

I know it would be a good idea to dry out the acetone regardless, and have been looking into purchasing epson salts. However, all I can find is the fragranced salts that have essential oils in them from stuff like lavander and chamomile and what not...is this stuff still ok to use? Or will it effect the overall chemical state of the acetone and not allow it to be used for a FASA extraction?

don't use the ones with fragrance.
depending on where you live, i know at least in the u.s., that you can get them at cvs or any local pharmacy
the box will read 100% mineral salts, or something to that effect

I have yet to check out CVS, but I did go to the pharmacy at the local WalMart and they only had the fragranced salts...I shall have to check out CVS next. What is the ideal temperature and length to heat them at?
