Is this little bottle good to storage freebase DMT?

Hi all, I've read several posts on how to storage freebase DMT, some prons and cons, and I decided to go for a glass storage, mainly because if it melts it's easier to scrape it off.

So I went to some local stores to look for something like the ones where salvia comes in, but the glass version, or even a vial or small container, but didn't find any that small. The one I did find, is kinda small, I measured the space with water and it's a 25ml storage, just like the one in the picture.

My question is, the amount of DMT to put there certainly doesn't fill all the space, so, won't it turn yellow/oxidize too fast since the rest of the space is filled with air?
 
Amber or cobalt glass would be preferential in this case, but the jar you have will work just fine. I would also recommend wrapping it in black electrical tape/foil and putting it in the freezer to prevent degradation of you alkaloids by heat/light.
 
I prefer to use something wider, just so I can have an easy time getting my hand in there and not having to spill DMT out, put it back in, etc...I always use two playing cards to handle my crystals so they don't stick to my hands.
 
I wouldn't use a cork to seal it. Also for long term storage in light, an amber container is best.

It's easy to get freebase DMT out of narrow necked containers and control it mg by mg. Here's how:

Tip the container so that the powder is near the opening. Now, begin gently tapping the powder onto your scale (or whatever). If you're tapping and not much is coming off, then slowly rotate the container and continue to gently tap. More individual mgs will fall out.

I kept 6 months stored with the method mentioned in my last post without loss of potency. So freezer probably isn't necessary. I feel like it's more important to keep airtight.
 
my dog extracted about 2 grams of white dmt in april and put it in a dark blue glass container, sealed with a cork, extra air space in it like yours has- and it is now yellow..although its still very active..it did also get exposed to some pretty high temperatures a few times though so i'm sure that had something to do with it

Well it's obvious it will turn yellow, that is NN-DMT, but it isn't any less good, just compare! It's a bit different, that's why I keep yellow and white D separate and mix as needed:d
 
I've had a large crystal sitting around for a couple months now and it's starting to turn red. I doubt it'll be anywhere near inactive when I finally decide the time is right to sacrifice that one :twisted:

Oh its definitely N,N.. and is as strong as before from what i can tell.

but i just miss that nice sparkly white 8)
 
I like the little Space Case. It has a wide mouth so it is easy to scoop out of, it is threaded on the outside, made of aluminum, airtight, and the small one holds a gram perfectly. It's not cheap, they are around $18 on ebay, the bigger ones are a few dollars more. I have several, and keep my regular herb stash in a medium one.

I use glass petri dishes taped shut and stored in the freezer. It stays nice and dry and it is easy to dispense with a little scoop into the scale.
 
My opinion is that if one would keep spice into that bottle in a dark & dry place, and not very warm (not over 40C, anyways, room temp is just fine, usually; it works for me at least - 25-28C), then one should be just fine. I use an orange plastic container (airtight), so it's pretty well protected.

I'll try to grab myself a smaller container, like 10ml or so, but I'm glad to know that the one I got now serves the purpose it's supposed to.

just some dumb question, why not converting it to salt?

it would greatly increase it's resistance to light, heat and salt are directly assimilable by the body, no convertion needed in the stomach
