Laser level and DMT

Hello people,

I just saw something out on Instagram of a guy shining a laser level on a wall, and different people smoking DMT and saying they could see code in the laser and see through it into another dimension.

Sometimes I have to question the things I see online because I feel like staring at a refracted laser can actually hurt your eyes. I have a laser level for construction. Was wondering if anyone else had seen that video and what they thought.

Thanks for the video link. I remember the original video from this guy. I think there is at least one thread here on this subject and various people trying to replicate it. Is this somehow revealing the base code behind what we perceive as reality? Curious.

Ok, so I plan to have a look on the effect.
I'm posting here because the other thread imho has gone 'off rails'.

What I find interesting and wanted to ask the more experienced people around:
I have been told that one can level-up / re-dose and see the code although not being able to reach 'hyperspace' once the MAO system kicks in.
Are there other known effects which persist when re-dosing without MAOI? Do you still have sub-breakthrough visuals in this approach?

I have sublingual MAOI ready and was thinking of making use of it and my e-juice vape in order to be able to cautiously dose-up to the right level, but have been told that I don't need MAOI to see the code for a prolonged time when re-dosing...

I mean, I sometimes see 'code' without a laser. The fact that DMT can delete my consciousness, introduce me to brain inspecting mechanical spiders or make my hand replicate into infinity while talking to me mockingly seems more profound than a red light looking a bit strange. But that's just me.

I was able to see the glyphs using a syd1230 line laser and a matchstick head sized glob of brown goo that was too small to register on my scale, probably a 5milli or less.
I had strong OEV's for about 5min and once returned to relatively normal, went to go look at the code which I was able to see fairly easily.
Just staring at the laser projection on the surface will do nothing.
Its very much like those auto-stereogram pics from the 90's, that a lot of folk still swear was a scam, even to this day.
If you can see the speckle pattern "beyond" the wall while completely sober ie "Compos mentis" then you will have the best chance of seeing code will under the influence of the molecule.
I found that the easiest way is to place 2 fingers against the wall just under the laser line and look at them until you see 3 fingers, then focus your attention on the middle finger and let your gaze drift up to the laser line.

I think along the same lines. Danny Jones has a podcast with the founder of five finger death punch who happens to be a DMT (enthusiast?) and his position is just kinda like uhh what in the hell does it matter? It's kind of a question of what does the lazer experiment accomplish? Is he trying to say there there's like a "code" to reality? I tend to believe the universe is kinda like computational in nature so yeah it kinda checks out but the question is like, does looking into a lazer while you're on DMT progress the human race in any manner and the answer is kinda like well no it doesn't 😂

This is making me remember something.

As a teenager I had the book Doors of Perception/Heaven and Hell - Aldous Huxley. In the appendices (I think), it mentioned using a strobe light to enhance CEV's. You put your face right up on the light with your eyes closed while tripping and CEV's are enhanced.

I have been trying to find this online. I do remember that the frequency required was a bit faster than your garden variety strobe lights at the time. However, even as a poor teenager I bought a high quality light and tried it.

It really works. I had many other people try it at the time as well. The acid of the day could give fairly colorful geometric CEV's. With the strobe, they would take some form and become cartoonish stuff. (one I remember was a purple bear on a green hill with a yellow 3 on it's side)

If anyone is familiar with this and could steer me to reading about it again online, I'd appreciate it. Also, there are online strobe light simulators. So, it might maybe be easily tried and the right frequencies found. Here's one I found quickly.

I can't point you to the appropriate reading, but there's a mobile app made specifically for that purpose. It's called Lumenate. I've tried it and it's scarily effective :D

There were a whole bunch of light & sound goggles that were made in the early 1990's that flashed and strobed either white or colored leds back and forth in synch with a beat that produced closed eye visuals. Some were better than others. Once the flashing was done there was a period of time where your eyes and brain were still making patterns for a while. Had some pretty good visual journeys on these strobe glasses. ;-)

Well this can go back all the way to the 50's and the Dreamachine. Brion Gysin and William S. Burroughs had fun with it.
But it's probably way older than that with the flickering lights and shadows from fires.
I seem to remember the minimum frequency being 10 hz.. 10 per second. Not sure. That's what I'm wondering the most.

I'd never used the goggles sold in the 90's and always wondered if they were of a frequency which would enhance CEV's or if they were more for meditation. Like synching brain waves. I had played with binaural beats a little where there was a different beat in each ear and the difference between the tones was perceived in the brain and taylored to match a certain brain state (alpha, etc.) Were the glasses similar but with light?

I also remember fairly inexpensive glasses sold at Dead shows which had a spinning propeller(?) type thing and the users would look up at the sun (eyes closed!).

I'm now wondering what such things would do for a sub-breakthrough DMT experience. Would it take you a step further? A simple strobe can be gotten online without even installing an app.

whoa dude… your post just unlocked a dusty memory in the back of my brain lol.

back in uni, a friend had these trippy glasses—like, I don’t even remember exactly what was going on with them… could’ve been tiny fans with LEDs or some LEDs spinning around your eyeballs or something. anyway, each eye had its own flicker thing goin on. I put them on with my eyes closed and BAM—full-on closed-eye visuals, like kaleidoscopic cartoons unfolding in there. totally sober at the time too, so I was like damn… this is doin something.

what you’re talkin about with the strobe and CEVs while tripping? 100% real. I think Huxley or somebody around that scene mentioned stuff like it. not sure if it was in the actual Doors of Perception appendix, but those cats were definitely experimenting with light + mind stuff.

you probably stumbled into what's called “photic entrainment” or some brainwave syncing thing. when your brain’s already dialed in on acid or shrooms or whatever, a pulsing light at the right frequency can straight up guide your visuals into new territory. it’s wild. stuff that used to just be colors suddenly grows arms and starts dancing, you know?

there’s actual gear for this now—things like the Lucia Light or “mind machines” that flash LEDs at you with your eyes closed. super trippy, even without drugs. kinda pricey, though. I think what we had was the broke college version lol.

if you're looking to mess with it again, there are websites with online strobe light simulators.I don’t know if they hit the perfect frequencies, but hey, worth a spin while you’re vibin. I heard the sweet spot’s somewhere around 8–14Hz. might take some trial and error.

anyway, cool to see someone else remembers this kinda thing. felt like I was the only one who had that weird LED bear moment. cheers for the nostalgia trip ✌️

Exactly! So, now I'm wondering if it would turn a milder DMT trip into a breakthrough or near that.

In the appendices (?, it was in the book somewhere) they were very specific as to the frequencies. I think they assigned colors to different ones, I dunno. I know it had to be at least a certain speed. Thanks for the input. Any trial and error anyone does is welcome.

This is a bit infantile, sorry for video guy.
I mean, as a young adult, when I was first starting to get my teachings from Saint Mary, me, and others, were able to see different characters in the carpet.
They looked like oriental characters, like Chinese, Japanes or Arab, if there were some greek letters I'd have recognized them, but I havent.
There was something of true, because the letters would always be the same, in the same spots, except there were no lines, no organization, so I guess its just our brain trying to recognize patterns, which is an evolutionary trait we have, the brain is a filter, in order to filter all the excess input away, and get us to concentrate into, hunting, reproducing, and eating, things like that. Very basic Aldous Huxley.
"The biggest discovery in the history of mankind...", LOL.
I'm yet to see good content in YT about this kind of subject, for some reason, we're not going to learn anything new from YT, or any kind of media at all.

Interesting topics, however none answering my question regarding continuous intake without MAOI.
I did some tests recently with e-juice (0.5g freebase in 2.5g PG + 175mg citric acid).
Started with a few tokes separated by 2 minutes, then basically continuous vaping like: fire, inhale for 10 s (limited by the vape), hold breath, fire again.
Must have been around 40-60mg in total.
I recognized the body-feeling (which was by way not that strong as with a one-toke approach) and a bit more detail-sharpness in vision but nothing else. Felt a bit like wasting the good stuff ;-)

Regarding the code:
I think the problem is (as usual) both sides jump to conclusion.
The believers make exaggerated statements, while the critics don't do justice the the actual effect.

I'm a scientific guy and I think it seems! interesting.
I digged into speckles and pareidolia and find that there might be some potential for interesting research. But this would require to understand the basics of these effect and systematic testing and evidence based argumentation. Don't want to bore you with details; if someone would be interested, PM me.

In a nutshell: some of the purported characteristics of 'the code' do not seem to be easily explained by the usual pareidolia effect; however it seems to be systematically reproducible, which allows for systematic studying. This might allow us to learn much about e.g. vision processing etc. in the humanin brain, if we don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
Just my 5ct.

The thing is, it's not the skeptics/critics making claims, it's the believers. As such, it's the believers' responsibility to provide evidence for their assertions. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

If/when people present a compelling "systematic study" of the supposedly systematically reproducible phenomenon, then there might be something to talk about. Get it peer reviewed and published and there would definitely be something to talk about. There's a bunch of psychedelic phenomena that would be similarly interesting to see approached in such a manner, but that seems to be getting lost in the corporate race to patent molecules and proclaim psychedelics a medical panacea.

If there's compelling evidence, perhaps someone will put it together in a clean, digestible (non-podcast) form for rigorous review. Until then, it just seems like stoned apes having fun, which is perfectly legitimate, but not a rigorous theory/phenomenological presentation.

"Back in the day", when I did LSD more often. I would often with eyes closed or in patterns in walls, etc. see letters and numbers. Sometimes generic figures which kind of resembled English but more more generic "language". Most often it was English letters and numbers or something closely resembling that.

It happened most often on moderate or lighter doses, actually. They were OK, but I wasn't a big fan. Brighter qeometric stuff would have been preferred. just figured it was a function of acid being more "middle shelf" and mostly just thought it was somehow affecting more organized, "higher" areas of my visual cortex. Different areas anyway.

I almost always see letters on the LSD comedown. Sometimes even with minidoses.
