Last Jedi Mind Tricks - DMT influence in the new Star Wars Movie

So right about smack in the middle of the latest star wars movie (The Last Jedi) they start dropping subtle psychedelic imagery. There is a guy they are trying to track down, who happens to be wearing this:

Which reminded me of the classic DMT lotus flower (there were other psychedelic lotus flowers in this movie as well):

Then the scene shifts to Rae, and they zoom in on her dilated eyes:

This is right before she heads down in the night to the island's psychedelic rabbit hole:

Where she immediately assumes the ayahuasca purging position:

After which, she doesn't fall, but is rather thrust and pulled right into the DMT tunnel:

And there's no going back:

But all she finds in the DMT realm are strange sights, visions of what she hoped to see (intent) rather than what would be, and a confusing journey within her own mind:

With no answers, and only more questions:

I thought it was well played. What do you think? ;)

Or maybe these archetypal scenarios are hidden deep into the human unconscious and are reflected in many things that we do.

Sure, and I guess a lot of us are familiar with the Hero's Journey being so reminiscent of the psychedelic experience. Still, I don't think Ryan Johnson went on an Aya quest in the jungle and tried and express that in this movie (I'm not saying he hasn't done psychedelic, Brick had a loopy vibe). Her falling on her knees can also be seen as her just bending on her knees, or maybe was thought out to recall a young child position, or Alice indeed. And people tend to have dilated eyes in the dark ...

If you want Ayahuasca, look at Embrace of the Serpent, it's a beautiful film. But who knows, maybe we will have a deleted scene of TLJ where Rey does some mushroom brewing with the goofy none native of the island.
