layers separation

ok,SWIM doesn't know if this is an european problem.SWIM couldn't find a turkey baster here in his country,so would ask to nexians wwhat caould he do to separate layers..no turkey,no sep.funnel..maybe siphon layers with a plastic pipe? he has been worring if it will dissolve in his np layer..same problem with plastic syringe that will become harder and harder to press and pull :? swim hates theese stupid problems

Decant a lot out of tall thin vessels. Use excess solvent on the last extraction then evap it down with a fan. Plastic will be broken down by the solvent so forget that idea.

Use a plastic jug and poke a hole in the bottom. Instant sep funnel.

I successfully used an old glass syringe, a long pipette with a rubber bulb on top.

And the winner is ... a sep funnel!

Isn't it difficult to see through? Could be tricky to separate clear colorless liquids.

That turkey baster is the same one I have.

I would have the siphon as the last resort IMO , but if thats all you can do its all you can do. How ever there are plenty of resources online, try those links. Hope it all works out for ya.

yup i thought to one of theese fat separator too.. what about use one of that gummy turkey baster to put drugs on the ass? i dunno how you call em
or maybe just use a plastic syringe and than recryst? would you clean up totally your spice? thanks again

I'll throw my opinion here too if its not too late.

I recently bought a baster from an ebay shop that delivered internationally and it only set me back 7 $ , delivery included. before that i used a 50ml sirynge bought from a gas station. It's apparently used to spray fuel in the engine or something . I worked allright but it was a pain to gather all the solvent without touching the lye

I just use a small tube to siphon the top layer... works easy and quick. plus you never spill a drop.
