Lazymans Tek and Pulls

Hey all, i have a question on Lazymans Tek found here. Lazyman's tek - DMT-Nexus Wiki

I'm reading the tek and comparing it to other teks. i see that other teks require the use of multiple 'pulls' because of word that starts with a p and has coefficient on it. I'm drawing a blank. I have three questions.

What is classified as a pull?

How should 'pulls' be used in LazyMans Tek?

How many pulls per batch of extractions in LazyMans tek with 400-500 grams of mimosa hostilis should be implemented?


this is my interpretation of a pull from the other teks i've read. a pull is after removing the alkaloid saturated naptha from the mimosa hostilis soaked in NaOH, you've got to put more naptha in again, the same amount as you've originally put, or less, and then let the alkaloid soak into the naptha. after doing so, the naptha will contain more alkaloid.

it looks like you've got a solid plan there... although i'd really recommend changing yr solvent to heptane if possible... it pulls amazingly fast, and you'll get most of yr spice in the first 2 pulls, instead of having to pull endlessly... also, you mentioned that capital is not an issue... buy yrself a separatory funnel... it seems like an excessive expense, but man, that is a useful piece of equipment... i look at my turkey baster now & laugh...

i apologize if i came off a little harsh earlier, i'll be the first to admit i can be a real dick sometimes... you know yr situation better than i, if yr comfortable & confident then carry on fellow wanderer...

How would using the separatory funnel work in pulls?
Throw all of the naptha into the funnel and then only let the funnel separate 100 ml at a time?

i thought that isnt the best way of doing things because we want the naphta to still soak in the MHRB. but using the funnel wouldnt allow continuous soaking.

or are you saying let the naptha soak for like 48 hours then let the funnel separate 100ml of solvent at a time

please elaborate in how you'd use the funnel.

not that i dont trust you, but this is the internets, whered you find your source on using heptane for amazingly fast pulls?


EDIT: i did some reading online againa dn i was wondering if the lazymans tek produces any dmt n-oxide, or the dmt in the yellow goo. how do i get a better yield by utilizing this goo, if any appears?

How do i also separate the yellow goo from the crystals if this happens?

The good thing about using a jar is you won't need to use a masher at all. You should be good with just tilting the jar as long as you have fine shredded vine. What I find works the best is to smash up your vine with a hammer then put it into a blender (about 30g's at a time, letting it settle then add more on top of what's in there). This way it's not powder and it's not chunks that are hard for the lye to penetrate.
Also since you say you want to be speedy about this, you can use a smaller ammount of naphtha than the tek says so it will be super-saturated and with such a big project you may only have to freeze it for a few hours (probably get 90% of it). Then you can just dump the naphtha back into the MHRB. Allow the floaters to go back in as well, you'll get them back on the second pull. Do a few pulls, 1 a day freezing it into the same jar. I then do a sodium carb wash in the same jar, seperate, freeze precip again, pour the naptha out then scrape your crystals out with a scalpel. It beats using baking pans and doing mutiple evaps and you should end up with the same ammount!

beginners and dumbie's doing lazy man's tek.swim evaporated solvent[newport lighter fuid]people say it has no residue but mine dose it leaves a tide line.any way it evaped.swim scrapped it up[he did not leave it long enough he thought it had evaped but it was still contaminated with newport solvent] and was very excited as this was his first time.it weighed 0.9 or so he thought as he didnt realise there's 1000mg in a gram so it really weighed 0.90mg.swim made a pipe with 1.5L bottle with tin foil on bottom to vape it on and fill bottle.swim thought this would be a small go as he was stupid ha ha and put it all in.when it was ready he did it in one.it tasted really bad like it was full of lie or some thing alarm bells strait away but it was to late it was wrong.it felt like it was burning his tong and throat. open eye visuals strait away.he thought shit im going to die in hyper space.it was very worrying and swim was glad when it wore off.but he was still quite chesty for several days.he learnt his lession.he then learnt about the sodium carbonate wash and he had heard about the freezer stage but didnt know what difference it made to evap.he thought evap mite be better.on his next pull's he put them all together and did the sodium carbonate wash and then did the freezer step.he put glass on its side to drain off solvent and after 2 hours scraped it up onto coffee filter to get last bit of moister off then he put it on a mirror and chopped it up in the warm and crushed it and left it to make sure all the solvent was gone.after the last experience swim was to scared to test it that day but the next day he did and it was really smooth and didnt taste of mustard gas.swim was happy and he had learnt alot.so he thought he would share what he had leant just in case there is any else like him out there.ha ha
