And @Nydex I'd be keen on something like that! I'm not classically trained but would none the less love to bring some textures/atmospheres to the table.

I'm far from classically trained as well lol, I don't even know music theory...Thankfully I have this useful tool called Scaler 2 that helps a lot. But there's just something about a good orchestral composition that tickles my fancy like no other genre does. I'll see what I can come up with and share it when it feels ready.

YES!! Love what you’ve done here! I will get the stems up asap for you! That’s such a magical sounding synth line you have added.. very DMT like. And the crisp metallic percussion you added sounds fantastic! Really excited to see where this goes

Daesien i ended up doing something with your music over a couple of evenings, it ended up as an acompanying synthy drone trance wig out. Quite messy, especially when the drums come in, but i had a lot fun doing it!

Sounds interesting! But yeah rhythm is a bit complicated, I messed up the rhythm on a couple of points, but in general this type of music is rhythmically quite dynamic. Usually you have multiple parts with different rhythms and it's an art to switch from one to the other in a smooth manner.

The drone modulations are completely random too, so no two runs of it on my end will ever sound exactly the same. The fact this thing is free blows my mind completely.

I love that vcv rack! I tried to add a bit to this, got a bit and added too much so i just reigned it back in by adding a bit of korg minilogue and monotron a bit more subtley to keep the meditative effect..

@Jan e Kharabat and @hug454 this is an incredible collaboration! Jan.. your playing is really beautiful, and @hug454 the drone synth work you've added just seems to blend beautifully. Very deep music. I love it. I'm really tempted to give this one a whirl on my next journey.

@Nydex and @hug454 .. enjoying your drone piece very much as well. The atmosphere evolves really naturally into some differen't territories. Love the liquid-like sound at 3:07 and the way @hug454's synths scatter afterwards. The two ideas marry perfectly. Really cool production..

Apologies for my absence/fragmented input in this thread.. have been trying to finish mixing some older tracks to finally release on my 2nd album soon. Gear is now packed up in boxes as I move home.. but will be in a new space soon where I will finally have a permanent dedicated studio space.

I'm really excited to see the thread evolving. You are all really talented.. makes sense that the music from the DMT nexus is at the frontier of sound.

Well, I decided to smoke some weed for the first time in like 5 years. What better day to do it on than 4/20, amirite?

Anyway, I had to resist the urge to go absolutely hogwild on @hug454's last render and restrained myself to adding just a couple of pads that were made from Spitfire Studio Woodwinds/Brass - Flutes A3 and Horn solo - both sploshed up with some Valhalla Supermassive. Ended up with this very space-y, lush, gently moving thing that I'd love to see the further evolution of. If someone can add some dope rythmic percussion in the back, or maybe some dreamy piano? I had to stop myself from adding a moody electric guitar on top too, it's so fitting... I love how this is growing.
