What do you mean by "liquid DMT"? DMT freebase that is above its melting point? DMT below its melting point that is nevertheless liquid due to supercooling or the presence of impurities? Solutions of DMT freebase, or of DMT salts?

Im seriously thinking on storing my [acacia spice] desolved in high proof ahcohol only i want to pre weigh my spice and figure out dosage size before desolving it in alcohol...
Im not shure how to figure out dosages using a dropper?
So.. if i have 500mgs of desoloved DMT..in ..say..one ounce of alcohol ..how many drops equal 30 to 40 mgs of spice?
This dmt tincher will be shaken up good first to mix evenly...

Better to avoid mixing up metric and avoirdupois/US units!
The (very) simple arithmetic:
Divide [weight of substance] by [final volume of solution] to get [mg per mL] (assuming you wisely stick to metric).
Divide [mg per mL] figure by 20 to get [mg per drop].
Divide [desired dose in mg] by [mg per drop] figure to get [required number of drops].
This works out as:
No. of drops = (dose * 20 * V)/M, where "dose" = desired dose, V = volume of solution made, and M = weight of substance dissolved in solution.
That should get you on your way.

If you're into it, you might try dissolving some onto some herbs, and see how strong it is when smoked. If you do this, definitely get back to us! And, probably better to reply in this thread.

I went into the math a bit in the thread I linked to above. I think downwardsfromzero may have done a better job of describing it, though. Give it a try, and if you are still wondering, post back with your questions. It seems to me, once you have an idea of how strong your tincture is, you don't need to worry so much about how precise you were. Doing the math gets you close, and then you can adjust from there as needed.

Cool.. But ill have to extract more spice..enough to put in a one half ounce dropper bottel..
Right now i dont have enough spice left to use in a one ounce bottle of alcohol..
Dont want to have to use 30 drops to equal 30mgs of spice...
I would like to be able to use as little as..1 to 3 drops to equal 30mgs spice...

^^^ Well, I don't know what the solubility of spice into ethanol is, so you may run into its limit of getting 30 mg/3drops. Definitely report back! I'm very interested to know.
Ok ..I only had a ]]tiny[[ bit of spice left to try this small scale test so i weighed 30 to 34mgs of acacia spice crystals and addec 6 to 7 drops of 99 percent IPA just to see if that tiny amount of IPA would hold 30 or more mgs of spice..
After weighing spice I used the gem tray to hold and mix it in...
After adding up to 7 small drops of 99 percent IPA the spice desolved very fast!..
[much faster than napatha can desolve it..]
Using such a tiny amount of spice and IPA in warmer temps the IPA tryed to evaporate very fast as i was doing this with the sun coming through the window..
So I poured the liquified spice on to a new ceramic flavor disk and it absorbed it like a sponge! it held it deeply absorbed into disk..
[ But it did leave a thin stick film in tray..posibly loosing a tiny bit of spice because of IPA drying so fast.]]
It apears that the ceramic disk could easily take 7 or even 15 drops!.. of IPA especialy when aplying it in higher temperatures as the IPA was evaporating so fast..
It may have beeen more acurate to aply the liquid spice at a lower temp to inshure all spice gets into stone
Any way it apears that 7 small drops of IPA will hold 30 to 34 mgs of spice easily...
I do intend to be able to aply with a dropper when i get more product to mix into grain alcohol later...

Today..I vaped the dmt infused into ceramic stone ..[in photos above ]..today and it vaped very cleanly and smoothly ...[no harshness] .. it had less body load than full spectrum acrb spice..but was pretty strong for such a low dose ...

You should be able to just keep a concentrated mixture in that dark amber dropper bottle. When you feel like a trip, just drop some on to your disc! Very convenient!
As for the volume of your drops, it's hard to say. Droppers vary, so it's best to test yours to get an idea of how much volume of fluid is in one drop. You can do this by measuring the amount of drops it takes to fill, say, a half ounce, or 10 milliliters or whatever. I used a shot glass which had measurements on the side. It's not very accurate, but it's definitely good enough.

If I remember correctly, 1mL is typically somewhere in the range of 15-20 drops from a standard dropper. A pipette would be more accurate, but they sell graduated droppers on Amazon which would fit in the cap of one of those amber glass dropper bottles.

Judging by the consistency of your spice, I would bet that there was little to no NMT in that particular sample. Just out of curiosity, why did you choose to weigh your dose directly on the scale platform rather than using the weighing boat? Thanks for sharing your findings with us! :thumb_up:starway6 said:

Acording to this measured dropper i used only a fraction of a ML.. because the dropper that has less liquid in photo was 7 drops I used...
Other photos show 1 ML measured and i could only get half of the one ML of water in dropper making the dropper a one ML dropper...
So IO was able to desolve the 30mgs of crystals in onmly a fraction of a ML!

Ok i want to report sucess using my Acacia tincher!
I put about one gram of acacia crystals in one ..[half oz of alcohol].. and first time after totaly evaporating the alcohol..[after weighing the pad first..then letting it dry then weighing the pad after tincher dryed] I could read how much spice in pad,,
Then I tryed 40 small drops onto a volcano wet pad and it was a lighter trip [only about 18 to 20mgs].. but still was pretty strong...
Then again ..after reducing the alcohol [almost to a quarter oz] i tryed [40 tiny drops] let the alcohol dry ...weighed it and it read about 38 to 40 mgs gain...
In My last reading the pad weighed..[0.907]mgs...then after ..adding ..and drying the spice.. it weighed.[0.946].mgs ..so thats about 38mg gain in weight..
I vaped this last spice load and it was sooo smooth and had a gread buzz and head space was pretty visual...
After comming down i felt I had returned from heaven!
It was a lovley experiance!!
So I am fine tuning my acacia tincher by reducing the 99 percent alcohol a little more causing the tincher to become thicker and more effective using even less drops to acheive the dosage!
The tincher method is very handy ..easy storage in almost any temperature!...if the alcohol drys up..[ no problem the spice is still there!] just add more alcohol!
No messing around with sticky goo...easy to aply with dropper!..once you got your dosage figured out...
Also could be used for oral trip.. if alcohol is organic grain alcohol...
I think spice tincher will become more popular in the future with many...

Nice, good work starway. Keep us updated. I believe the solubility of DMT freebase is about 20 mg/mL in ethanol, and IIRC it has about the same or a slightly higher solubility in IPA.
I might recommend you use a graduated pipette or syringe so that you can more accurately measure the volume of the DMT/IPA solution you are adding.

If you plan on doing this as storage for smoking my best suggestion as I've already said is try about 1gram DMT to 50 ml liquid of choosing, SHAKE IT VERY WELL AND MAYBE LET IT WARKM UP A BIT BEFORE DOING SO if you had it in a freezer to ensure proper, re saturation. Let whatever amount you take out whether it be 1 ml in the above mentioned case 20 MG approx. to 2 ml (40mg dmt) and let it dry before smoking or you could use this to infuse the dmt into a change like mix on certain herbs of your choosing. including but limited to actual changa mix, which would be cappi leave I believe for the "traditional" changa, but I've done it with weed, as well as with powedered syrian rue to great effect.
SIDE NOTE: if you go with the change route, it will take longer to dry, so make sure you smell it often to make sure any residual scent of whatever solvent you stored it in is gone. Obviously water won't be too bad but you don't want to be vaporizing ethanol from my understanding.

Of The last two tests.. this one the day before yesterday.. i used only [[28 drops]] instead of the last 40 drops to acheive the same weight dosage...38 to 40 mgs..
It was strong..
Just today using much less pad .. [without any further reduction of alcohol]..
I used only ... [[20 drops of tincher]].. in less pad.. and it hit me twice as strong as yesterdays larger dose of 38mgs..
I expected it to be very mild but was I surprised!!!:surprised
Maybe i just vaped it better this time!:?: ... and got way more effect with less spice?
Today experiance was surprisingly strong!.. and fast putting me close to bereakthrough i think...

Im very carefull to alow the ipa to dry compleatly ..
I stick .[the wire pad]..[or ball of steel wool]..[which is so pourus that you can see sunlight through it easily]...
0n the tip of a large needle or pin in warm sunlight blowing through it gently and making shure alcohol smell is gone...
