Hello all, I am new to all of this and I am hoping to find some answers.

I have recently decided to step into the mystery of dmt but I am at a loss of where to start. I don’t want to break any rules but I have some questions about what botanicals or seeds I should be on the hunt for in my region / country. I live in Canada and I know that it can be tricky to come across some of what is needed for me to go about extracting my first batch. I would prefer to learn doing everything myself and understand there will be lots of patience and probably some failure to come.

At the moment I feel stuck in not knowing what is available to me. Can anyone help me with suggestions of whIch seeds or plants I would be able to come by and grow in my position, or is this against forum rules?

Hello, and welcome to The Nexus!

This place is loaded with all the information you need to get started. So, come on in and take a look around! I would suggest that you start with the links in my signature (ATTITUDE, FAQ, WIKI) to gain an understanding of how the site operates and what is expected of the members.

The FAQ and WIKI contain valuable information ranging from "What is DMT?" all the way to advanced chemistry techniques and more. I'll get you started with this tidbit: Mimosa Hostilis root bark and Acacia Confusa are the most popular choices when it comes to extraction due to relatively consistent yields of 1-2%.

If you plan on growing your own, check out sharetheseeds.me , where people share and swap seeds. We also have a subforum dedicated to Sustainable plant and seed suppliers. For the sake of clarity, please note that discussing live plants and seeds is OK on the Nexus but discussion of buying/selling dried botanicals is not(see attitude page for more information).

Anywho, those are some places to start! Good luck!

:)

Thanks for the response. I am very interested In eventually growing mimosa or acacia in the future for sure, but living situations are not ideal as of now and these plants take much time and respect and are hard to come by in Canada.. atleast from what I’ve read. Currently Im searching for something that won’t take too long to come by, as Ive been planning my journey a long time and I’ve never felt so sure. I will look into your suggestions, I still have so much to learn from here I am very excited.

If you insist on growing something quickly I recommend looking into growing fungi; it is essentially orally active DMT. If you start growing now you will thank yourself years down the line. Maybe look into growing phalaris grass too, there has been some more research done recently on increasing alkaloid turnout if I remember correctly.

Good luck and welcome .

Thanks spractral! I have no problems aquiring fungi without growing for myself at the moment, but have already planned on growing my own in the future when living situations are different. I’ve been looking into phalaris grass because I’m pretty sure it grows naturally in abundance where I am. With spring coming up I’m optimistic in finding some and hope to be able to identify it. Il definitely be growing some of my own as well, I’m eager to learn more.

No problem. If you look for phalaris grass make sure its the correct strain. I don't know much about it but you're going to need alot so if you can get info on growing it in a way to maximize alkaloids that would be advantageous, and maybe even necessary, to get a decent amount. If I come across the info or remember who was working on it I'll let you know.
