Lophophora Extraction

is peyote tougher to break down (more cellulose) than cacti like san pedro?

which tek should i use? I was planning to follow 69ron's d-limonene tek. or would i be better served by an A/B tek because it's lophophora?

I don't know if I'd personally be killing such a rare and gorgeous plant like a lophophora williamsii just for an extraction.

They take over a decade to reach maturity. A pedro, peruvianus, bridgesii etc will grow a foot a year on each limb and would be far more than enough for an extraction and better yielding overall. It would be a lot more sustainable to stick with those varieties. You'd need a fair few mature peyote for a decent extraction or only a foot or two of pedro.

Peyote have other actives in it as well, an extraction is unlikely to extract them all. I'd recommend sticking with ya classic trichocereus cacti listed above.

I'd have to agree with Trip...

But if you really want to extract from them, I would make an extract with rum or gin and then work from there.

I agree with what Trip and Jupiter Man have said... don't extract from peyote. If you really need to extract to reduce body load or something like that, try extracting from one of the other species to get the mescaline, then add a little peyote on top.

Cellulose should not be an issue during the extraction. Some full spectrum approach would be probably better than just focusing on mescaline.
I am also planning lophophora extraction and most likely will just make some resin using alcohol.
