Hi, can i get some advise please...
I think i'm losing too much Delta Mike Tango in my washes.
My first wash, i went from 6.5g of yellow stuff, to 5g of white, clean stuff.
Today i had a little practice with 90mg of white sticky stuff and ended up with 50mg of white fluffy crystals.
I'm sure im missing some thing , hence i'm calling out to all you beautiful people, (flattery will get you every where) :)
I'll tell you my method.
1.Boiling water into a baking tray. Get it to about 50/70 degrees.
2.Two beakers. One with the Delta Mike Tango (melting). One with the powerfuel. 20ml per gram. (powerfuel is made of naphtha & pentane, cleaner than just naphtha)
3.Add the warm powerfuel slowly, mixing all the time/// Give it a good old mix..
4.Give it about 10 mins. Pour the clear contents through a filter to a tray, leaving behind the slag(bright yellow, raidio active jungle substance).
5.Let it get to room temp / in the fridge for a few hours / in the freezer for 24 hours.
6.Remove excess powerfuel. Leave for a few hours to dry out and bobs your uncle...
Many thanks for your help, in advance :want:

Pour the clear contents through a filter
Here maybe your problem.
A filter will soak up a lot of spice laden solvent.
(there can be an awful lot in just one drop)

You can cut up the soaked filter into tiny bits and add it to a small amount of fresh warm solvent...mix...wait, then separate and freeze.

Better to not filter it at all but separate with a pipette or eye dropper.
:)

You can also do a few more Re-X 's on the 'left overs' to pick up some more.

Do you wet your filter with the solvent before you pour it through? You'd be surprised how much a dry filter will absorb and like they said above, that filter is going to get a hold of it and not want to let go. I know it seems obvious but I've caught more than a few people I know (experienced included) using dry filters before I pointed it out to a small but noticeable increase in their yields of various good things.

May or may not be your issue but it is still good practice.

i was watching scientific videos from MIT website and the scientist says when you use a filter(coffee filter) you need to heat up extra solvent and pour the extra solvent through the filter after filtering your "goo" out to help remove left behind extracts in the filter.

I have typically saved filters and extracted them later with a solvent when I have a few.
This is what I do as well, but I never filter when doing re-x. I always just add hot solvent until DMT is completely dissolved, let it cool for just a minute until it looks like all the nasties have settled on the bottom, then pour off or pipette off the solvent into a new crystallizing container. Then of course do a couple more hot solvent washes of the nasties, as there is always a bit of DMT left in there.
