Also, as I said in the other Lucid Dreaming topic, taking the nootropic piracetam the day after taking galantamine counteracts desensitization and tolerance of galantamine so you can take it more often. Just thought this info might be useful to you.:)

I learnt this the other day when I took 3mg melatonin and for some reason the galantamine barely did anything. I then tried again without last night however and what ensued was hours of sleeplessness with only a 5 min WILD to make up for it which doesn't seem worth it. While I am having the longest and most vivid lucid dreams without the aid of anything they are few and far between and would love something to increase the frequency.


Last weekend I had the most incredible experience after a night of moderate psilocybin ingestion followed by 0.5mg xanax to aid sleep. I found I was able to effortlessly transition between waking and vivid dream states, just by leaving my body and re-entering my body at will. I used to be able to do this as a kid but long since lost the ability. It got to the point where I couldn't think of anything I wanted to do in the lucid dream so thought I might as well get up! Anyone had lucid dreams after psilocybin/LSD use? I feel the xanax helped keep me sedated too as the last time I took shrooms I had lots of sleeplessness and weird feeling dreams. I'm wondering now if a small dose of xanax combined with a slightly higher dose of galantamine might consistently produce the stable lucid dream state I'm looking for....
 
Last night was my first use of Galantamine and Choline, premixed in "GalantaMind". It was VERY interesting and encouraging. My dream recall was far better than normal, the dreams were vivid, the visuals were colorful and intense in a typically psychedelic way, and though I didn't achieve full lucidity I stood on the edge of lucidity the entire time, constantly sensing that something was both very right and well and yet incomplete. Let us call it "pseudo-lucidity." Now I must wait 4 days before trying another dose of GalantaMind but the experience gave me much fuel for me to pursue the traditional lucidity exercises.

For all those who have been on the LD threads (and Astral Projection threads as well) wondering or discussing whether it is possible for people to learn new things while dreaming, Inception becomes reality: People can teach themselves new skills in dreams this article suggests that it is actually possible to train real life skills while lucid dreaming.

Yale & the University of Bern have both recently done studies that show that you can actually do critically measurable learning while lucid dreaming. This is the tip of the iceberg, of course, but the Swiss study is very interesting in that it shows that people who practice throwing a stone into a cup while lucid dreaming actually significantly improve at this task when they awake.

This is the fundamental premise of much of Taoist Dreamwork. This is the level of internal arts kung fu where the practitioner practices their kung fu and chi kung while lucid dreaming in order to exponentially increase their progress. I have known many high level practitioners who seemed to do all their major practice in WILDS, and my own personal experience in this is quite extensive.

But considering that this is one of those areas that skeptics tend to chime in with the old show me some scientific proof that this is possible stuff... here you go.

I won't say that this is a done deal, and we will see much more work done in this field in times to come... so I won't indulge my childish urge to shout "Told you so!" just yet.

I go into states that mirror an ayahuasca peak nearly every night now on the verge of sleep..I do take a bit of harmalas nightly though. I also can practically will myself into a lucid dream any time I want lately..which is interesting..though I cant always stay lucid for too long, some night I swear I spend what feels like an hour or more lucid. This is like the tip of the iceburg..Im going to take this thing as far as I can.
 
Just had an insightful lucid dream yesterday. I was trying to move objects with some good old fashion telekinesis but was having trouble. I was attempting to "pull" objects into my hands and discovered that it works better if I first cleared my mind, then vividly imagine the feeling of the object already in my hand. Immediately the object would get pulled into my hands like a magnet attracting metal! From then on, it was easy!

Next time you guys have a LD, you might wanna give this technique a shot. It's really effective, and fun!8)
 
I haven't had a lucid dream in far too long.
I've heard nothing but good from the Galantamine
& Choline combo from so many people for such a long
time; I must find out myself what that mix can do.

I don't think Galantamine is available around here unless prescribed
for Alzheimers disease. Haven't seen it anywhere around.

Are there any clever Nexians here that know how Galantamine can be
extracted from Snowdrops, Daffodills & Red Spider Lilies?

There's no shortage of those plants around here.
Could a simple STB work? Maybe just a cold water soak of mashed daffodills?
Anyone?

As you probably know, developing dream recall via a dream journal is immensely helpful in setting the stage for having LD's.

I don't know about extracting Galantamine, but wouldn't it just be easier to buy it online?

You can find Galantamine or a galantamine/choline combo online for pretty cheap, or you can get yourself some Huperzine-A which is even cheaper (I think GNC carries it), which is also an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.


I've also heard from various lucid dream sites that combining Huperzine A with nicotine (via a patch) is a potent LD aid.

Agreed! I like how it shows how to tweak your LD's for different effects, more control, enhancement, etc. However, like the author says, it is a book more for advanced lucid dreamers. Getting the basics down first is important before you start using chemical boosts.

This was an important step that I couldn't do.Remembering dreams helps you see the general subject or a consistent thing repeating in your dreams.Knowing that is very important as you can train your brain to spot these guidelines and realize...it's just a dream.

I have started meditations not too long ago but the benefits are clear, and feel like am learning something or progressing almost every time I do it.

When meditating I, off course try to clear my mind and i am not trying to get anywhere "special". Recently while meditating random memories of dreams pop in my head, which destroy my focus once I realize.It's pretty weird as I am not focusing on that matter.

Is this a "normal" experience?Is my subconcious fixed on trying to remember dreams?

Normal is probably not a meaningful adjective in this case. It is fairly typical, though, to have to wade through a ton of subconscious, pre-conscious, and other mindstuff that is sitting in your mental inbox but tends to get overlooked by your normal busy mind.

Dream recall and analysis certainly fit into this category. This kind of stuff is fun and useful, so just enjoy it while still keeping focused on letting it all go and learning to descend, ascend or transcend to more profound states of emptiness and realization.

If you started not too long ago, then you are probably lucky you are not still plagued with the mad desire to get up and do something (anything) else.... hehehe.
