So I had crystal that was perfectly fine but had a slight smell of nap... it was folded in a piece of paper and I decided to stick it on on a heating pad to evap the remaining nap.... Well it evaporated everything and now the paper is saturated with deem goo!!! what do i do?!?? should I put the paper in naphtha again to re-x? This was SUCH a stupid mistake! Is there any way to salvage it?

I feel SO f-ing stupid right now you dont understand:cry:

What the heck! This thread really got derailed.

Back to the topic! You could also try soaking the paper in acetone if its a coffee filter or something. It evaps very fast and does a good job of dissolving DMT.

I'm sure you'll be able to salvage most of it if you try out some of these suggestions.

Ok, that last thing I wanted to spark here is an argument :) I really appreciate your prompt responses, I ended up just trying to sleep it off and Im in much better shape than I was last night... Last night I freaked out when close to a gram of fine spice was turned into "dmt paper" :)... The paper is just normal, thin notebook paper. Smoking paper is not what I had hoped to do but if thats the only way... then a small square of paper isnt as bad as all the nasty blunts and ganja resin thats been in my lungs(trying to feel better)! But the problem with that is obviously dosage. some parts of the paper is evenly soaked while other parts, like the bottom fold, has oil not soaked into anything(big line of goo where the paper was folded to hold the spice).

Amongst all the responses, Ive only seen one person mention how it could be possibly soaked in solvent, so I guess that wont be too promising... Also wanna add that the paper has some spice still halfway melted into the paper, which MAY be able to get scraped off and put into solvent.

Similar thing happened to me (although on a smaller scale)..

Solution:
Cut up the paper into really small bits...
Put in a shot glass
Add20/30ml of warm naphtha or solvent
Mix well/soak...leave for a while (hour maybe)
Scoop out the paper and keep for a second go...
Put the shot glass in the freezer overnight....xtals in the morning...
Repeat....done...:d

Regardless of how many people suggested it.... Solvent is the way to go. Its a fairly obvious answer.

Think about it! How did you get the DMT out of the bark? SOLVENT.

That is because DMT is attracted to the NP Solvent.

When you soak the paper in solvent it should do the same thing as when you run the solvent through the root bark during the extraction. You are basically just extracting the DMT from paper instead of bark. lol.

I think you should be able to get most of it this way.

I'm only sticking my nose in again to ask, when you found the melted goo, could you smell much DMT in the air? I'm just wondering if the heat pad was turned up enough to vaporize some of it, or if it just liquefied.

I hope you're able to get it sorted out. It does seem like you should be able to get most of it back by treating it like an extraction, but of course if some of it got vapd by the heat pad then thats already lost. :cry:

crazy horse, it was only a heating pad for your back.. so I do not think thats the case... I guess I will try the warm solvent... I was worried about the paper shredding up and clouding the solvent, but I could use a metal strainer and put a put the paper in a little more solvent....

But I was curious.. theres no way that the paper would work if it was used sublingually could it??? I know its highly unlikely but it was worth asking :)

That, seems like a really good idea. I wish I had sat back, and actually thought about what I should do for a while. I put brand new naptha in a pyrex baking dish, maybe close to three pulls' amount, because I wanted enough liquid there to fully saturate everything, for a while. Put the whole filter in there and just let it sit for a few hours. Cutting it up though, and putting it in a very small amount, sounds like it would work worlds better. And the warmth would help too, alot.

A while back I decided to try and experiment with some pure white crystals I had. They were a pile of little tiny crystals and I wanted to make it into one solid chunk. So I put a some on a piece of parchment paper and stuck it in the dehydrator at 165 for an hour and NOTHING happened. It didn't melt one bit and was still %100 effective afterwards.

I don't believe pure D vapes at 115 . . .

That's good to know, I found those numbers on here somewhere, trying to figure out what a good heat setting for a vaporizer would be. Wonder what the real range is.
