magic truffles?

What's with these "magic truffles" that seem to be legal to purchase (or at least are being OFFERED for purchase) online? Anyone know how they are related to pcylocibe cubensis and if they are actually psychoactive? I have done google searches, and most of the hits seem to be only on the pages of sellers, which strikes me as a bad sign. Also, if they ARE psychoactive and genetically similar to actual magic mushroom strains, how can they possibly be legal?
 
These "magic truffles" are psychedelic, but no Psilocybe cubensis. There are far more than hundred species of mushrooms containig psilocin and psilocybin. Some of these species produce sclerotia, lumbs of mycelium, that helps the mushroom to survive harsh environmental conditions. They also contain the tryptamines and are actually very active. Species are e.g. Psilocybe tampanensis, P. mexicana & P. galindoi, .

I guess they are sold from the Netherlands? They have outlawed most psilocybe mushrooms due to the media coverage off some things that were said to be caused by these mushrooms.
However the dutch government listed the species that were meant to be outlawed but somehow forgot to include these sclerotia producing species. Since then, there are no longer "magic mushrooms" but "philosopher's stones" for sale in the Netherlands.

I bought the Hollandia Truffles which are suppose to be the most potent of truffles.

I got 15 grams and ate them all in a few minutes.

nothing happend. not even a high feeling. just a horrible after taste.

You have to eat upwards of 40-50 grams wet to get anything from them. They are active but only at very high doses.

Save your money and do a BRF (PF) Tek. half the cost and 100x the yeild.

I have a quarter (70 grams wet) of dry PESA Cubensis. I spent $5 for the brown rice flower $4 for the vermiculite. $1 distilled water $28 for a spore syringe (I bought 4 syringes for $40 at lilshopofspores.com ) and $9 for 4oz (GET 8oz I Screwed Up) If you don't have a pressure cooker then borrow one. if you can't borrow one. then do a steam sterilization for 90 minutes.

This does not match my experience at all. I've had pretty interesting trips on just 10 grams of P. Atlantis sclerotia, fresh.

Altough I cannot compare with P. Cubensis (never had them), the above is enough to make me starry eyed and utterly amazed at everything around.

Perhaps you got crap truffles ?
 
I guess it depends on the person then....they did refund me.. Id still recommed just grow some cubensis. Save alot of money with the amount of doses u can flush
 
I assure you, magic truffles work and they work well. 20g of fresh "Atlantis" or Psilocybe Galindoi sclerotia was a great moderate dose for me. I would definitely get them again because to me they seem alot cleaner feeling than cubensis, but they are a tad too expensive. I've heard sclerotia are even easier to grow than mushrooms though so I might start looking into that. Overall though, if one is interested I would definitely recommend trying truffles.

I did PF Tek all over town in college. I am the person I am today because of PF's website and easy-to-obtain spores. the guy with the Guy Fawkes avatar said that truffles "work" and that he took 20g to trip. Honestly, back in the day when I was growing, just eating 5-7g of cubies was barely tolerable in terms of horrific taste, grit, and wanting-to-puke/puking. I cannot even imagine the horribleness of eating TWENTY GRAMS of massed mycellium for the same effects. While it was Xemnas attempt to convince me that truffles are worth it, his testimony, has convinced me NOT to buy any truffles. I'm getting back into the jelly jar and fish tank game.
 
Keep in mind, I said 20 grams of fresh sclerotia. Most of that weight being water, there's not actually a whole lot of material one needs to ingest, especially if you make a tea out of it. If taste is a huge problem for someone, I would suggest truffles even more strongly since the taste is minimal and alot easier to mask than ordinary mushrooms.

To each their own though I suppose. I'm not trying to convince you to do truffles, I'm just saying don't knock 'em until you try 'em.
 
I find the taste of the sclerotia horrendous .. but some people I know munch on them like candy.

Just pinch your nose while quickly chewing it to bits then swallow with some water - not so bad.

But cost-wise I agree, them truffles are way too expensive..
