Make changa by the bowlfull rather than by ratio?

Hi all. So much emphasis on ratios but I figure this must be a way that's used often, but doesn't get mentioned much in recipe [for want of a better word] threads.
Stuff my bong bowl or vape chamber full of mullein, weigh it, multiply by ten, weigh that out. Put, say, 300mg DMT, 150 mg harmalas freebase into it to leave a pile of changa of arbitrary weight. Then no weighing necessary, just stuff the chamber each time to get a reliable 30mg DMT hit. I've chosen 30 fairly randomly, could start anywhere but perhaps use that as a base and augment with crystal to up the dose, or 30 is low enough to [fully or partially] refill the chamber and go again.
What are the pitfalls / refinements I should know about?

The 450mg of material would potentially change the mass of the final product to where you actually have more than 10 bowls when all said and done and each bowl would have less than the desire amount of actives.

Good point. Easy enough to adjust for I think, a quick dry run too see how much the volume increases when adding 450mg of any sort of powder.
Might be that after drying out the recrystalised dmt would occupy a really small space in the structure of the plant and not make much difference. Interesting to find out.

Not like I have extensive experience, but on a few little extractions I have freeze precipitated the deems for a couple pulls, then done another pull or so with Naptha and one with Xylene to get the last of the goodies. I evap those last pulls and get various levels of goo. I then just guestimate putting plant matter in (usually Passionflower).

If the resultant Changa is too weak, which is common, I add crystals from the freeze precipitation to bring it up to snuff. I pre-dose Harmalas. I've found that calms the preflight jitters for one.

The thing I struggle with is weighing stuff out. I'm just naturally clumsy and I can't handle the precision of weighing tiny amounts of powder. I soon tired of neat crystal because no matter what receptacle I use on the scales I manage to spill some on it's way to the bowl. So I made some enhanced leaf by weight, forget what ratio I used, but that still meant weighing it out to get it to the bowl and that's still messy and gets spilled. In my house scales are just wasteful and expensive.
My goal here is to make something that bypasses that issue, and so far as I can tell this will achieve that neatly. I can literally just dig into a container with the herbs in and shovel it straight into the bowl, and I'll get the right dose without losing a bunch of it to the table top / carpet / the front of my jumper, and all around the scales.
Side benefit being that weighing 300mg and dividing by ten should give a more accurate distribution than weighing out ten separate 30mg hits.

Which is what I'm used to, but I hope to take the guesstimation out of the process.

If you can weigh out 450 mg of alks, you can at least check how that compares with the volume of your bowl, and remove (put aside) a corresponding volume of herb mixture from the ten-bowl pile prior to mixing in the alks.

If the alks soak into the herbs and the combined volume ends up less than the target volume, a suitable amount of the reserved herbs can be added back to correct this. Be sure to mix thoroughly!
