Making a GVG

I have recently read a thread (here) that describes how you can make a cheaper alternative to the GVG and I thought I would look into this a bit more, trying to source parts from the UK/EU.

I have come across the actual pipe part for €4.29 (from here), although I have never owned a pipe and therefore I do not know what other parts are required in order to complete the setup. Even though I have read the thread I've just linked, I still do not understand what extra parts are required.

Would the above pipe be suitable if I could find the remaining parts required? What are the remaining parts that I would require? I know I will need a bowl, but I am puzzled as to how to actually get it to work as I don’t have a GVG.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

After looking at a diagram of the GVG on their website, it looks like the DMT sits on several screens in the actual pipe itself rather than in a seperate bowl that connects? Can you tell if the pipe I suggested has the same space to fit the screens in?

Would I simply be able to buy the GVG top and put a ceramic disc inside?

I was going to buy everything from the original post but when I went to checkout and put my UK address in, it came up with free delivery, which I found very hard to believe as it's coming so far!

I have contacted them asking for delivery rates to the UK as I can't seem to find them on their website.

my anser to this problem in in photo below...
This pipe works great and will water filter what you vape...
I just use a small wad of volcano wet pad//[stainlerss steel wool] to vape through...
Everything you neet is at hardware store and wall mart..
A simple water bottle and some brass fittings using simple waterpipe system..
It has a carb hole and a pipe stem hole just above water line...
It vapes the thickest white vapor and hits hard...

I have been trying to get a combination of pieces that work, but I will need some advice as to whether the following combination will work as I have zero experience with pipes and adapters!

Mouthpiece for Precoolers

I am unsure as to whether the following will be suitable to hold the DMT in, as there doesn’t seem to be any lip for the clips to hold it on to the mouthpice - Expansion Glass Joint Adapter - 14.5mm > 18.8mm

And then finally the part which will hold the ceramic disc - Glass-on-Glass Joint Bong Adapter - 18.8mm > 14.5mm.

As I've said, I’m confused with the sizes needed, any advice would be great!

Ido like the simplicity of your bottle but I would prefer to try to make a similar GVG.

Or perhaps using this as the bowl for holding my spice, and this for the ceramic disc?
