i thought i would share this experience with you. i had 25g of salvia so i decided to do extract. i looked and asked around to find out about the best tek and started. i have to thank everyone that helped specialy big thank to Gibran2 who gave me tek i used for extraction.

here is the tek:
1. I Crushed all leaves
2. Put aside 1.5g of them
3. To the the remaining leaves (24g) I added enough ice-cold acetone to cover them. Stired briskly, then pour off the acetone through a fine strainer into a glass container.
4. Repeated step 3 two more times, for a total of 3 rinses. Discarded used leaves.
5. Allowed the acetone to settle for at least 12 hours, covered. Avoided direct sunlight and bright lights while doing steps 5-8. Salvinorin A decomposes on exposure to UV ligh
6. Siphon off the acetone and put it into a shallow glass container and allow to evaporate.
7. When most of acetone was evaporated, I added the reserved leaves from step 1 and mixed well.
8. Let dry thoroughly.

after all i ended up with 1.94g of 12X extract

here are some pictures i made

That first pic looks like it's right by a window, I would avoid even indirect sunlight...

When I do my extractions I do it in a room with the shades pulled and a desk lamp facing the wall. I do my evaporation in complete darkness. Maybe a bit extreme, but better safe than sorry :)

it was there only to take the picture :) i did have it in dark room all the time. thank you for your advise.

This extraction looks simple and great!

I would like to ask a few questions:

1) Ice-cold acetone means that it was left in a freezer for some time

2) In step 3 how long do you stir it?

3) How much approximately acetone did you use?
