Making Sodium Carbonate easier to work with

Found that clumping occured when adding sodium carbonate to vinegar if it poured in to fast and this clumps were rock hard. So, mixing it ahead with water until it becomes a paste stops that from happening even when adding a large amount.

Thought this trick might make things go a little smoother for you all and I didn't see it posted before.

Hm, how much sodium carbonate do you add to how much water to get paste ?

I didn't measure. I filled a pint jar with about 200ml of water and mixes the sodium carbonate in slowly and it expands and becomes pasty. Sorry, for not being exact, but it really isn't an hard to get there

Interesting. It's just that the solubility is like 22g/100g H20 and I though it would take a lot more to get stuff pasty.

That may be the case, but it isn't dissolved in the water, just moist.
