Max Ion Tek - Broken Jar

During the first freeze/thaw cycle of filtered water + root bark, I removed the glass jar from the freezer to thaw in my kitchen sink. Maybe a minute later, the jar cracked along the side and the bottom cleanly broke off (picture attached). The jar was not airtight. I have since placed the material to thaw in a bowel, yet still need two more freeze/thaw cycles today.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? What container would you use to freeze the water + root bark?

Would be far more convenient/relevant/organized if I could post this in the appropriate thread, but alas I am a mere New-Member.

Plastic container is useful it doesn't have to be galas for the freeze thaw as coffee jars and those type crack all the time !!!

Just if you use a container of types just tip through a wide mouth funnel ( I use a top half of a 2ltr juice bottle ) to get back in the extraction bottle ! :thumb_up:

Btw why is the glass looking black or burnt !!!

i use these but buy them from discount store for £1. Best part is they take up hardly any room in the freezer and are totally leak proof. :thumb_up:

Looks normal in person, but I see what you mean. Must be weird lighting in the photo.
