SWIM used q21q21 tek and it yielded beautiful fluffy white crystals. After letting the naptha evap the spice was placed in a plastic pill bottle for storage. Unfortunately they were stored in an area that was to warm. To swim's dismay the pill bottle was opened and half the dmt was melted.The melted material was clear and gooey. He immediately placed it in the freezer. After an hour the melted half is as white as the unmelted crystals but looks kind of like resin.It also appears to swim like he has less than was originally in there. Is that because when the fluffy white dmt melted it became denser making it appear like less? Is this rehardened "resin" Smokable dmt? Has it just changed form is in essence the same thing? And should swim recrystallize or leave it be? Any answers or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

DMT doesnt just dissapear so yeah, it just seems less.
I would normally advice simply using a bit of warm naphtha to dissolve and freeze again but not with plastic container (store in glass the next time, and in a cooler place).
So what you can do is maybe use a bit of warm vinegar to redissolve, base the vinegar and pull again. Or just scrape it manually careful not to scrape plastic, into a glass, and re-x.
Or just smoke it as is if you can manage it, or use some herbs to soak the resin, yes it will be active.

You still have all of your DMT, don't worry about that. Freebase DMT melts at 40 degrees C; that's a pretty high temperature for anywhere you might be storing it. My guess would be that you still had some solvent left in there. As I'm sure you're aware, DMT is much more soluble in warm naphtha than in cold (this is the principle behind a freeze precipitation). I used to have similar problems when I first started extracting with xylene. My suggestion would be to break up the resinous stuff (it should just chip and scrape into flakes), and leave your whole sample exposed to the air to completely finish drying. I've had this happen to me never after I cleaned up an extraction and put it in a jar for storage but while it was on my pyrex pie pans. I just let it cool down in an air conditioned room and once it was hard I scraped it up again. I'm don't think you lost any weight did you weigh the jar before you put the DMT in it? then after?
I would get in there with something long and pointy and break it up then store it in a coool dry place.

and put it in a more suitable container to smoke as is. Hes read the re-x the crystals can result in some dmt loss and he cant afford that. Can anyone speak to the truth of this? Hes a little wary as dmt is precious.

The point of recrystallizing is to separate impurities from DMT, so yeah of course you'll lose some weight in the process, but if you do it correctly, most/all the weight loss should be of impurities and not of DMT.
Extract your own (or extract more) and that way you dont have to worry about a little loss.

Every process you perform on your DMT is going to result in at least a little loss. Your DMT is perfectly fine to smoke, although I would dry it as I suggested, it's not a big deal but you don't really want to be inhaling solvents, particularly not n-hexane (which will be a constituent of your naphtha).
