aaaaaaaaaaaand the toxicology results are finally in

remember the two guys that supposedly died after taking mephedrone, methadone and alcohol one night,

the spearhead of the media scare campaign, the event that was exploited mere hours after the deaths,

and spun into the propaganda that would become the critical factor in the knee-jerk criminalisation of mephedrone


So guess what? The results say... They never even took any. At all. No mephedrone.

Doh!

It is so satisfying to see this kind of disturbing and blatant propaganda, and the public and government's reaction to it,
exposed as the farce that it all was.

There was never any real indication or evidence they had even taken mephedrone the night they died,

And there was certainly no indication that it was the mephedrone that contributed to the death, as opposed to the lethal combination of alcohol and methadone it was also suspected they imbibed.

what does everyone think of the author's speculations
on how the market for 'riskier' drugs would be affected by the criminalisation of 'less risky' [for now] drugs?
 
I mean mephedrone is definitely toxic regardless of this haha. Flephedrone I would guess to be safer because it doesn't create the same ultra-vasoconstricting metabolites. Still propaganda like this is more harmful than the truth could ever be.
 
Moral panic criminalises human instinct; but most are easily led,and like to believe they know what's going on. A dangerous drug is off the streets, the children will be fine, just keep feeding em hamburgers
 
Mephedrone is still getting shipped into UK and on the top of it that Chineese man cooking new stuff in his dirty lab. Ban changed very little. Stupid politics and idiotic propaganda of journalist bullshiters. So many peeps are sooooo stupid. It`s pissing him off. If ILPT wanna get mephedrone he will get it regardless the fact wether it`s legal or illegal !!! Sick of this
