Mescaline acetate - sticky brown mess

Back to work! :d

So SWIM is learning a new process this weekend and pulled my first limo extraction last night off of Ron's acetate tek with 200 grams of torch and three saltings of 50ml of vinegar instead of HCL.

As you can see, it's left behind a sticky brown mess after the vinegar evaporated. SWIM used the oven set at 200 degrees to evoporate the vinegar.

Does this look normal? What do you recommend next?

Thanks!

Acetate will always be sticky and brown using rons tek cause as with the HCL tek the Vinegar(acetic Acid) in concentrations stated im Ron69s tek brings the PH way to low for salting out just the mesc(And also Mesc Acetate is just that sticky, sorta waxy like yellow elf spice)...As before in the HCL Tek you have to adjust the amount of acetic acid/water so as to bring the PH down to no lower than 6.0

Secondly anything over 150 degrees will make your acetate sticky and syrupy...even in a food dehydrator at 150 degrees F you will still get sticky acetate...it helps after water evaps to scrape it all up into a ball...then let dry another 24 hours in Food dehydrator at 150 degrees..Then chop up and fan dry for a day...

Best way is to just fan evaporate...put in larger baking dish then in your pic, something at least 13 by 9...then just point fan at it till it ripples and let sit a day or two...then scrape up,fan dry some more...etc...

If you wash it you will lose a lot of your yield cause a lot of it is probably Non-Mesc Alkaloids...a couple anhydrous Freezing Cold acetone or MEK washes probably will take away anything from 30 upwards of 60% of your total weight...

Ron69s tek as writtten is perfect for full spectrum extractions(And I am not putting it down in any way!!)...but if you want just mesc alkaloids you have to adjust his salting water/acetic acid ratios so you get no lower than PH 6.0 AFTER mixing with d-limo....

lots of fun that tek is..eh? (sarcasm noted)

i cant answer if its a good thing but thats more or less what i got each time i used that tek. i will tell you that a 200 degree oven is probably not the best thing for mescaline in this form. ive heard ron preach that it starts to degrade past 150 degrees. not that you asked but might be something to think about.

yes what you have is normal.. you can scrape it up and put it in some capsules for storage/ingestion. Just remember to poke a hole (or cut open one end) of the capsule before ingesting.

next time as people said, you can salt using more dilute vinegar. Also you could potentially do a (dry) MEK wash, but a lot of people seem to have trouble with MEK wash, losing yield or having inactive products or what-not. If I were you I would just put in capsules and consume as-is, it will still have great effects :)

for some people, a 300mg dosage of this acetate is a good amount. For me and some other people, anything less than 500mg is a very light social dose (great for concerts or being with good friends), and for a real mescaline experience one needs over 1g of this. Take 300mg for the first time to see how it goes and adjust your dosage the next times.

good luck and tell us how it went!

I get powdery tan mesc from ron's tek most of the time... about a 1-1.5% yeild. I never use heat to evap my vinegar though

My most recent go.. got closer to what you have there. I haven't tested the results of the MEK wash...but the MEK went totally dark drown and the amount of off white powder left over was not as bitter as I expected it to be.

I kept the MEK... and will evap to see what's left in there.

My most recent purchase is cactus chips.... not sure if I want to powder them or do a resin style tek.

Thanks guys! I'm sure the extra heat helped 'caramelize' this quite a bit. May try eating a bunch of this stuff for a full blown experience at some point and run the MEK tek on the second pull to see how it works.

I did see a mention of turning acetate to HCL at one point but I'm sure not it's worth the extra effort. Evaporating vinegar smells afwul, BTW. Not sure I'll run this one again.

I know this is an older thread, but wanted some advice regarding pH adjustments. I've had to use sodium bicarbonate to adjust the pH up to around 6.0. The combo of limo and vinegar in Rons tek is very acidic, pH3, which yields a sticky goo. By raising the pH, you'll get a nice flakey crystal. Is there a better way to raise the ph up ? Something non toxic, that wont end up in the final product?
