MHRB Extra time sitting in vinegar

Hey,

So I made a pretty naive mistake. I received a pound of MHRB two days ago. I immediately set out and added the MHRB to the vinegar thinking that I could get the rest of the solvents and regents locally. I am following the BLAB procedure. Unfortunately, it will take a week for the fumaric acid, ipa, and d-limo to arrive. Is my MHRB spoiled? Also, are there local places I could buy any of this stuff from? I live in Raleigh so I'm sure there are quite a few options.

AFAIK the spice is very stable in acetic acid. If anything, letting it sit in the acidic soln should improve the extraction as it would lyse the cells and free-up more of the goods. I think Icehouse does a vinegar soak prior to the usual STB extraction. Kind of a hybrid A/B.

I am running a test of a several month long vinegar soak on some MHRB to see if it makes any difference myself.

i vinegarised my last extraction for about 4 days and got my best yield so far, i think you will be fine.
