MHRB soaking 3 months. Want to use with Syrian Rue?

Hi all,

So over the last year I've learned a lot about the spice. I've pretty much stopped writing trip reports like I used to with LSD however, as it really has had profound effects on my life. It hasn't been easy (gross understatement) but I feel as though I'm in a much better place in my life now. Borderline Personality Disorder is something I was diagnosed with a few years ago and though I haven't lived behind the label, it has explained why I do what I do, and DMT has had a huge impact on it. Anyway, I'll not go into more detail here, that's for another post another time. For now I feel like Aya is the way forward for me at this moment in time (I know technically this won't be Aya exactly).


I have in my kitchen cupboard 2 mason jars each containing 50g MHRB and approximately 650ml of acidified water. They have been sat there soaking for about 3 months waiting for me to stop being lazy and finish the extraction process. I have just acquired 50g of Syrian Rue seeds. From what I understand I need to brew 2-4g of the Rue along with ~10g of bark. What I can't work out is how do I measure out the bark, divide into fifths? Do I still reduce the bark? Do I combine the seeds and bark or drink them separately?

Ordinarily I would spend weeks researching to find my answers for something like this , but presently I don't have the time nor inclination to do so due to my mental state.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I plan to undertake this tomorrow.
 
My thoughts would be that if it's been sitting there for three months it's most likely no good anymore unless you acidified the life out of it. I'd be weary about ingesting that, and by weary I mean I would expect to become deathly ill if I drank it.

Best just to play it safe and hit the drawing board. 100 grams is no big loss.

Asher is saying that it is most likely to have grown some nasty bacteria in that time and that it doubtful that the acidity would destroy them. The last thing you are gonna want to trip with are some tiny invisible critters in your stomach that will begin casting nasty spells on your digestive system, what's worse, you may not even realize you are poisoned if you aren't familiar with rue-nausea, thinking that it's doing what it's supposed to and not get medical help.

As for extracting, I dont see why not, but maybe someone else knows something I dont.

QF, you didn't drink it did you? Just start over, I understand wanting to fix pain now, and it sounds like you have benefited from your experiments, just please continue them with caution. Peace, be good to ya!

Under very acidic conditions, dmt breaks down. More so, and faster, if stored in acidic solutions and unrefrigerated. That's what I understand. And yes, you could find out if it is still active by trying to extract it. If you are already familiar with the procedure I don't see why it wouldn't worth a try. After all it could be better than tossing. Who knows what's still in there.
My curiosity is, why did you leave it in such conditions for so long? Laziness is a no go with these things or so I see around here. It can cause unwanted trouble I think. Be careful, will ya?
 
For the record, in future endeavors there is always the option of freezing it if you don't have the time to work with it immediatly. Freezing will buy you some time without adding any additional risk. Things like these last a good while in the freezer since it's not necessarily like a steak where freezer burn limits your time count.

I didn't drink any of it and I now have no plans to do so. I will perform an extraction on them to see if any actives are left. The reason I left it so long is because I had aleady extracted another 3 mason jars previously but ran out of time to complete the last two. I was unaware of the acidic conditions being unfavourable in the long run otherwise I would have finished the process a lot sooner.

Thankfully I do have approximately 200mg of fluffy white spice left, so all is not lost! :)

Why not just extract the Syrian rue and take some of the freebase DMT?

Extracting rue is easy and you can then dissolve the freebase(s) in a little bit of lemon juice, add some water and shoot back. I've never had rue tea, but from what I've read, you really would prefer not to! It's got some nasties that are easily salted out.
