a straight to base extraction of powered mhrb using 1 gram bark to 22.5 ml water to 1.5 grams naoh to 1.5 ml naptha there are two batches one turned out fine the other looks contaminated can anyone tell me what went wrong or if it can be saved. the contaminated jar was also kept in a stainless steal pot for a week or so. the second batch started about the same time turned out fine.

Milky Naphtha is exactly what you want. It's most likely that the reason it looks milky is because it is full of freebase DMT and it's just waiting to fall out. The colder it gets the milkier it will get until eventually the naphtha can no longer hold the alkaloids and they will fall out of the solution.

Milky = Great news 😁

this cant be right heres the same batch. it has alot debris in it. ive done freeze precipitations before and whats floating in the naphtha doesn't look like dmt crystals falling out of it. im going to do an evap and see what comes out.

Well, when I extracted with 50g MHRB my first pull was colorless and cloudy too (got white to off-white crystals out of it) but the next 2 pulls were yellow and yielded a little more than the first one and also with a little more color.

However don't give the color to much importance as trace amounts of impurities can already change the color of a substance quite a lot.

You may need to just evap like a third or half the naptha and then freeze-precip. It'll drop out easier that way.
In the case above where it looks like the crystals are forming already maybe there’s no need to evap. Most of the time I don’t need to evap at all. If it’s milky, clouds when blown on or it’s already growing crystals it’s usually good to go.
