more organic way about extracting?

Hello there, I have done a few A/B extractions using Cyb's Salt tek however, for whatever reason I feel like there has to be a better more organic way of going about the extraction process. I had great reasults using the tek but Im hoping to find something a little more environmentally friendly to work with. are there any suggestions?
