Morning glories worth anything?

SWIM tried making some LSH and it didn't work at all.

SWIM has tripped 3 other times very lightly on morning glories and truely considered the way more side effect than effect.

Anyway, There are a couple aspects that can be attributed to the terrible blandness of this recent trip but here is how it was prepared.

10.25g (~360 seeds) of powdered morning glories from heavenly products was put in about 200ml of peppermint tea, the 3 tea bags were used, each were wrapped individually.
Once it had cooled to room temp the seed powder was added
The tea was put in a bottle wrapped in electrical tape to prevent light from destroying the alkaloids

The tea was put in the fridge and shaken about 6 or 7 times over 1.5 days.

SWIM didn't have any datura stramonia and took 3 datura inoxia seeds. he figured taking a little more kola than he usually does would combat the sedation,
*He has taken kola with passionflower and it worked very well. lots of euphoria*

10 minutes after taking the datura he took the brew.

After 45 minutes he was getting nausea about 3-4 out of 10 (10 being no choice but to vomit) and he took about 3.5g of kola, a nicely stimulating dose.

SWIM also took ginger before and for the first 1 1/2 hours to combat the nausea. But it was still quite bad.

Anyway. after 1h 45min SWIM started feeling a little high and continued to come up for the next 4 hours. At the peak it felt like the intensity maybe 1/4 tab of good LSD, SWIM would guess.

But it is was so sedating even with the kola swim couldn't keep his eyes open. He sat for for about 1 hour quite uncomfortably watching mild CEVs. Did not feel very much like LSD, rather more like a low dose of DXM.

At present 11 hours after SWIM is feeling like a terrible hangover. He cannot enjoy anything and feels extremely restless.

SWIM took nothing else this week except 2 times smoked spice. All through the week he was feeling find. This day is probably his worst in 2-3 months.

SWIM has had some very pleasent trips on 7 HBWR, up there with top 10 trips ever...



Sorry about being all EMO sounding but SWIM just wanted to point out that he is thinking morning glories are useless and he is feeling the urge to toss them in the trash.


Anyway thanks to all that had the tolerance to read this all. But for those who didn't here are the question SWIM has.

1: If SWIM takes more than 10.25g of morning glories will the nausea likely get worse? It seems likely it would.

2: If SWIM did a non-polar wash of the seed powder first and dried them THEN extracted them would it make it significantly less nausea compared to the cold water?

3: Does the large amount of seed mush seem like it would make a difference in the LSH conversion or should SWIM just try a different source of peppermint.

4: Should SWIM just trash the morning glories and buy some hawaiian strain HBWR? If so, what is the best source?


Thanks a lot, that rant made SWIM feel a smidge better about one of his worst trips ever, it feels pretty useless like a medium dose of DXM

1: SWIM will most likely become more nauseous with a higher dose. SWIM has taken around 500 seeds once and had (based on your scale) a level 6 nausea. Compared to HBWR seeds, morning glory seeds dont cause as much nausea but fill SWIM up like a small meal :p

2: Yes, extracting with a non-polar then polar wash will help lower nausea. SWIM has found that using 3ish jimson weed seeds help get rid of the nausea too.

3: Cant really say. LSH is very "tricky" (for lack of a better word) to make. SWIM once made 3 different LSH teas, all with the same amount of HBWR, peppermint, etc and only 1 out of the 3 worked properly. Once SWIY gets it though, SWIY will know for sure :D

4: Personally, SWIM would keep the seeds anyways. They aren't the best for making teas and other LSH methods, but SWIY could extract the LSA from them and just it for later use. SWIM personally finds that HBWR seeds are the best for making LSH tea out of.

Unprocessed, morning glories are definitely better than HBWR. But HBWR is better for extraction because of the higher yield. At least that's what SWIM thinks.
 
I've had some very profound experiences on heavenly blues. I have never extracted anything from them, just ground up anywhere from 12 to 17 grams of them (i think, it was a couple years ago) and mixed them in applesauce (McKenna's suggestion). It made the applesauce kinda gritty, but was relatively easy to get down. There was minimal nausea, more like the gaseous, not quite nausea that comes shortly before an ayahuasca purge. Cannabis was great for settling this down and allowing me to enjoy the experience. The vasoconstrictive properties were definitely noticed at the higher doses, but they were all around very worthwhile experiences.

SWIM was in fact quite aware of that, though like a select few SWIM doesn't like cannabis at all.

He's tried it 6 times smoked and once oral.

The first 2 smoked were very un-easily giddy blurs of oddity that left him confused and "off" the next day.

The third was when he was pretty drunk already and it is SWIM's to-date only blackout EVER. SWIM after that has been MUCH MUCH MUCH more drunk that that on 3 different occasions and never blacked out.

The next was uneventful, very low dose.

The oral one on the other hand on last 4:20 was a terrible paranoid experience that lasted >30 hours and luckily only 2-3 hours of the peak were felt and SWIM was able to sleep off a lot of it. Those hours were definitely some of the worst of his entire life. Everything was paranoid, he assured himself it was okay but he was like "maybe someone slipped a whole bunch of acid into the weed, holy shit.... there are no visuals.... uhhh, maybe it was non-visual acid. I can't take that long of an acid trip!!!!" He finally drooled and writhed his way to sleep.

He expected to be totally down by morning,just like smoked pot. Nope. He went to work still strongly feeling one of the worst trips of his life. It was wretched.

He tried smoking 2 times after, his roomie INSISTS he is just pre-judging and he can totally enjoy it.

First one was uncomfortably giddy though with annoying paranoia bubbling under the surface.

Second one was stronger and more paranoid.


That (very long story SWIM doesn't really expect anyone to read) SWIM's new tek using canola oil to remove the toxins is working great and he's going to try converting to LSH with a combination of coffee and 1 shot of alcohol taken before and coffee and 1 shot alcohol taken with the brew. Coffee contains acetaldehyde and alcohol decomposes into acetaldehyde. SWIM thinks that will give it the BEST chance of conversion
