Morning Glory extraction questions

so i was going to do the panoraMIX extraction tek on 300 morning glory seeds so i crushed them up and put em in a jar. i was thinking i had to rinse off the pesticides or whatever and so poured some water in there. as soon as i did it i was thinking, shit i probably should've done that before i crushed them haha. so now i have this water+plus seed mush and i'm guessing i wasted it?

i don't want to drink it and i figure i can't separate it considering some lsa probably went into the water. the seeds were a year or 2 old so i wasn't expecting much if anything so it's not really a big deal. probably just gonna go pick up some more fresh seeds and do an extraction with those and then plant the other 100 i have somewhere... probably a good thing i messed it up instead of wasting naptha to get hardly anything back.

another thing i was wondering is when i get to the ipa part, can i do a freeze precip? i wasn't sure if it would work with alcohol. i guess being colder make things less soluble in it but yea..
 
I personally would just put alittle acid in like lemon juice + alcohol if available and let it extract for a day. Morning glories arent known for intense nausea anyway, I would just down the extract after filtering myself.

But if you arent the adventurous type just throw it out. Morning glory seeds are cheap and easy to replace if you really wanted to do a nonpolar defat first before extracting. Crush the seeds and do the defat next time, dry, then pour in the water + optional acid/alcohol.
 
this is directed at your fresh new seeds

step 1. acquire acetone (dry is preferable but not necessary)
step 2 . find an appropriate glass vessel (glass turkey baster is great for this) but a beaker works too
step 3. have a filter ready (cotton balls work well with glass turkey baster)
step 4. plug your glass turkey baster with cotton balls at the tapered end (if using a beaker do this after step 6.
step 5. grind your seeds
step 6. immediately submerge your seeds in acetone
step 4.b. put your cotton balls in the end of your beaker (trapping the pulp and acetone within)
step 7. shake the fuck outta it yo (the acetone vessel that is)
step 8. let the acetone filter through your cotton balls (in a beaker use an undisolvable rod to make a sort of french press with cotton balls)
step 9. collect acetone in pie dish
step 10. add a bit more acetone to your seeds (to get more out of them)
step 11. collect fresh acetone and combine with initial acetone
step 12. evap with fan (no heat)
step 13. scrape up your orange/yellow goo and enjoy

*notes*
make sure to undestand how much lsa youre extracting ie, if youre extracting 100000 seeds dont eat all the extract at once...
keep extract in freezer, or preferably use immediately (this whole process takes minutes and can be done right before use)

I just did a quick mini extraction on 100 old rivea corymbosa seeds ala heptane & isopropyl. 3x heptane washes, 18-24hrs each, then the same for the 90% iso. Evapped to a slightly gooey greenish/tan film. I washed this again with heptane and it pulled off a considerable amount of green crap.

Dissolved what remained in distilled water, and while pipetting i was not using my brain and had a 3ml pipette with cotton on the tip i was sucking the distilled water/lsa up with. Not thinking i was using my mouth to get suction to pull up the water, and got some in my mouth accidentally. Bitter as fuck, and definitely active :shock: . Spit it out right away rinsed my mouth, but damn, good shit lol. Did not expect it to be all that active since the seeds were old, but definitely active at the small amount of water i got in my mouth. Still in a semi afterglow from last night.

Anyway, i think a good idea for reducing the amount of heptane used in washing your seeds would to be just do iso/acetone/water pulls first, evap that, then wash the goo with heptane/naptha/another np. Redissolve in your polar solvent after washing with heptane, evap again, and wash once more with heptane.

Should significantly reduce the amount of heptane/np solvent used, and is quicker/easier than doing 3 day long heptane/np washes first. Just wash out the crap once its in a concentrated goo thats a fraction of the seed mass.

Will be trying this on a larger scale with some more rivea/hbwr in a week or two and i'll write up a tek/document for my extraction procedure.

kash i think i'm just gonna dump em, i'd consider the alcohol thing but i can't drink it. even the tiniest bit gives me severe stomach pains. i take a probiotic for lactose intolerance and my theory is that it's killing all my stomach bacteria and the gas buildup from them dying causes the pains. only got these types of pains from dairy before using the probiotics.

any of you guys know where i can get bulk heavenly blue morning glory seeds? preferably untreated ones. i tried looking around locally with no luck.
 
What!? So its either cheese/milk or liqour becuase of a pill? Man thats a rough call auto.
Though I probably wouldnt take a pill that puts unnatural bacteria in my stomache.. thats weird.

As far as bulk morning glory seeds, I dont know becuase I have no interest in them.

Have you tried Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Seeds? They are significantly more potent and as long as you do a proper extraction, rather than simply soaking in water or gobbling them up, they are a great experience and there is no nausea.
 
well i wouldn't say the bacteria is unnatural because it's supposed to be there but things like alcohol and other things in a modern diet just kill them. probiotic means "for life" and it's beneficial bacteria like lacto bacillus etc. these bacteria are floating around in the air right now and are all over your body. you have a symbiotic relationship with these bacteria. i also don't really drink alcohol anyways and can't eat dairy without the probiotics so why not take them haha

and no i haven't had hbwr, i haven't had lsa at all for that matter. i was checking them out before and thought it was $21 for only 10 seeds but i just checked again and saw it's for 50 seeds. maybe i'll check em out, especially since i went to the store the other day to check out mg seeds and they were $1.79 for 1.5g (prob about 25 seeds) so that would be almost $20 for one experience. prices definitely went up because when i got them before there were 50 or more in a pack for $1.07. i'm still gonna plant some morning glories though
 
You can actually find them pretty decently price. I get 500 quality seeds for 35$ just look around online. Punch seed supply into google.
 
DON'T USE TREATED SEEDS!! You'll be poisoning yourself. I've had one of the worst experiences of my life from using too many treated seeds.
 
Seeds from Holland are untreated, and usually when they are from Holland it is plainly marked on the package, I can get them locally for 9 bucks an oz, which is kinda steep but not ridiculous, and picking them up in town is a plus.
