Multiple acids for A/B ?

Hey there everyone me again.. :d

I am doing a simple A/B extraction on Reed Canary Grass (phalaris arundinacea) to contribute to the phalaris teks, as it looks like (for some people who can't obtain mimosa) the way of the future for DMT.

I have a question that I couldn't seem to find the answer for already,
Could I use multiple acids in the A/B ? For instance, if I acidify my brew of Phalaris grass, and ran out of vinegar, could I contribute to the Ph with some HCL ? or would this mess stuff up?

I assume it would work, although leaving some DMT-HCL and some DMT-Acetate mixed? Or would I get a completely different acid (not that great with chemistry, not sure if I mix these acids sorry ?)

I will post a tek with pictures when completed, I have good hopes for this one

How come MHRB isn't available? I thought that was only America. (Could be very wrong on this) Don't you have access to acacia trees in SA? Those would be my first port of call, AFAIK there isn't an easy, safe way of extracting smokable DMT from Phalaris, yet, due to framine / hordenine content. I wish you luck with your experiments!

Why yes, there are some acacias around, many in fact, but I wish to try phalaris simply because of its abundance and it would be great if found a fully working tek for it

AFAIK there isn't an easy, safe way of extracting smokable DMT from Phalaris, yet, due to gramine / hordenine content.

well.. not really any more.

gramine and hordenine, it was found, are not responsible for sheep's staggers, and are probably not very dangerous to human health (especially in such small doses as you would take when smoking dmt). and endlessness did some testing and found gramine was virtually insoluble in naphtha, and only negligibly soluble in limonene (it was presumed that hordenine has similar solubility, though afaik it hasn't been explicitly tested).

the problem is the alkaloid content of phalaris is so darned variable, that unless you can TLC your extract yourself, or you grow a clone of phalaris that has been tested, there is just no way to know what is in your extract (could be DMT, 5-meo-dmt, 5-meo-nmt, or a whole other cocktail of alkaloids, and dmt presence is not guarunteed)

so that is the hang-up with phalaris, so you can:
A. should grow a clone (presumably the chemotype is the same, so the alkaloid profile will be similar if not identical to the tested specimen
B. should TLC your own extracts
C. not use phalaris

Thanks for that help, i will be doing my first pull soon.. Have defatted and basified with my lye..

I am using White Spirit as my NP solvent, it is clean, but it takes a while to evaporate.. Should I rather salt out the DMT with HCL and be left with DMT-HCL...? Or should I wait a LONG time and evap the White Spirit for freebase DMT? Freeze Precip'ing is not an option.

Salting it out would have you experiencing your DMT much faster, i'd love to see salted out DMT, please post some pics when your done!
