music that gets you through life..

Migrated topic.
Reeeally liking Codes Over Colour and Nicola Cruz on the previous page. Minilogue, also.. which I delved into for a moment last year. There was a point I'd have to hike 11 miles once a week for groceries and their "Animals" album was a consistent morale booster on these excursions.

Here is another from the same time. Felt like I surely must've posted this one somewhere around here before.. but I'm not finding it.

Ninet has captivated me ever since I heard her collaborate with Steven Wilson. I naturally wanted to look into her solo work. While I don't speak the language, I can feel the sentiment. Music is a universal language and can express things that words alone never come close to:

As for Opeth, I'm not a huge fan of deathly growls/screams anymore, but when they move away from hardcore metal, their softer progressive rock style shines through brilliantly. Hauntingly beautiful! I think the "Pale Communion" album is an amazing work of art all the way through!

TGO very good songs there. Im positively suprised you know Lunatic Soul, im very big fan of them and offcors Duda's main project Riverside. Seen their 2 lives another one is incoming ony sad part is that the guitarist passed away. About Wilson there is not much to say, he is genius and same goes with whole band, their lives are one of best i have seen in my life.

From my progressive collection i have to add:

And from more Rock/Metal Progress i always share Jolly Band with people because their are most underated band in the world.

The Pattern always somehow release my Demon at 3:45 and on

Hi, glad you enjoyed them!

Yeah, Lunatic Soul and Riverside I just discovered in the past year or so and fell in love with it immediately! I'm always hunting for that next progressive sound, or anything that strays away from the norm! Definitely a HUGE fan of Steven Wilson/Procupine Tree and anything related! I hope to see him live one day, if he decides to come near my town!

😁

I'm checking out those links now and digging it so far! Thanks

Oh, and to embed youtube videos put your youtube link between two youtube tags like this:

If you are fan of PT for sure i would recommend going for King Crimson as Gavin Harrison is playing there (PT drummer). Top class band. Im addicted to prog/prog metal/djent so if you need something new i can always provide :)

That is a pretty wicked track by Mastodon! I've been meaning to look into their discography. And yes, Gavin Harrison is my hero! I'm a percussionist/musician and am blown away any time I see that man sit behind the kit. It is out of this world what he comes up with. I just started collecting King Crimson records about the same time as Lunatic Soul (I know I know, I'm behind on a lot of great music! but I'm working frantically everyday to catch up! 😁 ). King is in the name for a reason, heh heh!

I actually just released some of my own music on soundcloud if interested. The album is called "Hazey Neverminds" :

Too Many Mind - Hazey Neverminds
