Hello all! Having recently moved to an area in which s. divinorum is not criminalized, I’ve had the opportunity to experience the psychoactive effects of the plant a few times, and I thought I’d share my experiences.
I don’t smoke, so for now I’ve been experimenting with quidding dry leaf directly, or making a crude extract with room-temp organic solvent and quidding that. I’ve visualized my results so far in the below chart.
I don’t know how sensitive dosages are to body mass, etc, but for reference I’m female, approx 65kg, late twenties. Prior substance use limited to alcohol - no prior opioid ligands or other entheogens. The dry leaf mentioned in the chart was bought locally and described by vendor as shade dried, though the packaging was see-through so the contents may have been exposed to sunlight along the supply chain.

Reportedly, pure salvinorin A has no effect when administered sublingually even in high doses in PEG, so there must be something else in the leaf that facilitates the mucous membrane transition, hence the crude extract. (Does anyone know what this is? Is it known why the crude is more active in the sublingual/buccal route?)
For the extraction experiments, I was initially planning to just quid the extracted solids, but saw a recommendation here to deposit them onto cornstarch to provide a better medium for quidding, so I tried that. After some finagling with the dosage and procedure, it seemed to be pretty effective at producing an altered mental state — relaxation, mild visual effects (pulsing, lights dancing), depersonalization (as my upstairs neighbors were vacuuming, I could feel that the floor was satisfied to be vacuumed, like an itch being scratched, and I felt that satisfaction on my own body as though I were the floor), loss of gross motor coordination and feelings of altered gravity.
I’ll prepare some more detailed procedure and trip reports tomorrow from my notes, but I just wanted to share this to start off.
Take care,
Chickadee
