My mimosa infusion failed

First of all, i'm not a native english speaker, so ignore any grammar or syntax error please...

I'm really sorry if i posted this topic on the wrong section

I made a mimosa infusion with something like a little bit more of the half a mayonnaise jar full of mimosa bark really ground up, and 1 liter of water, which i've reduced to 300ml after boiling.
since i had no syrian rue, i've consumed it and had no effect...

any idea why it failed?

please do a lot of reading before attempting something like this.
the dmt in the mimosa had no effect because it requires an MAOI to work orally.
it is important that you read up on it, as this can be dangerous and you need to calculate how much you want to drink!

I did a lot of reading actually, but since i have no balance, i have no way to measure the mimosa and the paganum. I've heard it is indeed orally active without MAOI, but you're gonna need a lot more mimosa. Is it true?

If indeed you have done a lot of reading , it cannot be from this site because if you had spent any amount of time here you will have noticed the WIKI and the FAQ in the top left corner where you would have been able to learn about DMT.

The references to mimosa being used by natives in Brazil describe a cold water infusion. Several people who tried it said that it did not work for them. And now you’ve added to the experience base, by indicating that even in a very large dose, it did not work for you. (Note that your experiment was different, as you boiled it.)

You’re probably fortunate that you did not have the rue, because then it would have worked. I have no idea what you would have experienced, but that amount of mimosa in one dose sounds terrifying.


If you have measuring spoons, a very rough approximation for the plant materials you’re describing would be around 2g per teaspoon or 5mL.

a few things:

*you are lucky it did not work
*your source is just plain wrong, dmt is not orally active without MAOI
*get a scale, DMT is nothing you should just eyeball especially not in the amounts you were dealing with, if your experiment would have worked it is highly likely that you would have overshot your goal by a lot => in the best case you would have just passed out, worst case you would have required an ambulance, or even worse
*do a lot more reading and double check everything
