Would FASA in Xylene precipitate N-Oxides

Yes .

how? based on what do you say this?

n-oxides do not have salt forms, how could they precipitate with FASA (or FASI)? n-oxides are more soluble in an acidic solution, so they would migrate to for example a vinegar layer (or FASW) if one wanted to salt out the alks from a non-polar and get n-oxide. But precipitation like FASA, from my (limited) chemistry understanding, will not work for n-oxides because they are zwitterions.

thats what my imaginary friend has observed.

he salted the xylene soluble fractions (heptane washed) of his STB Products with FASA
(freebase stuff that wouldnt crystallize properly)
This resulted in dark dark waxy orange crystals that didnt change their color much during washing with anhydrous Acetone.
Its active , and thought to be mostly oxides .

Maybe he's all wrong ... i dont know ... you say N oxides dont have salt forms and are always oils ?

Well at least a lot of deep orange stuff drops out when adding FASA , a little bit slower than the spice itself.
N-Oxide-Fumarate i thought.
