NaOH in Germany.

Migrated topic.

Hi Everyone!

This is my first post here! Very cool website! I hail from the Growery which is a sister website to the shroomery.org

I apologies if this is the wrong forum to post such a question.

Anyway, I currently reside in Germany and I was wondering about acquisition of NaOH here. I've read a lot of information about NaOH being a monitored chemical in the United States and many people having their homes raided just for ordering NaOH online. Should I have this same concern in Germany? I ask because I stumbled across a website this morning and nearly ordered some lye but then noticed an unusual safety form that I had to sign before purchasing. https://ssl.kundenserver.de/www.shop.algin-chemie.de/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=50

Is it dangerous to buy the reagents online in Germany? I honestly don't know.

Thanks for your help.

I want to welcome you to this great forum! You should not have to buy NaOH online, look in supermarkets or hardware stores for Ätznatron or kaustische Soda. :)

You can also look for "Brezellauge" or "Laugenperlen" as it's used to make Bretzl. You can propably also find it in soapmaking shops...

The shop you posted does have orange oil too but i'm not sure if I'd order both from the same source at once.

Please be carefuly in germany. Better keep as quiet as possible.

Is this true? I can’t imagine how a search warrant could be obtained solely on the grounds of someone ordering NaOH online. Who would even monitor this? If anyone can provide a link verifying a NaOH “raid”, I’d like to see it.

I’d be much more concerned about ordering MHRB online, since it contains a Schedule I substance.

You guys actually have an article about the dangers of ordering sodium hydroxide online in the U.S. SERIOUS WARNING ABOUT USING SODIUM HYDROXIDE IN THE US - Health & Safety - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus

However, it's not really a secret that substances used to make meth are heavily monitored and controlled in the U.S.

So you believe it's safe to order this? Well I hope it is. In any case, I'm going to have a look around in the stores again - I think if I can find it locally that would be best.

hi, i live in germany for 4 years now ( i'm belgian) and i bought some NAOH in the local pharmacy...no problem at all!
just say you want to make some soap ;-)
peace

NaOH is a common (strong) cleaning agent, sold under the name caustic soda in english or kaustische Soda in german. You will have no trouble finding it in hardware stores, as mentioned, and it will not raise any flags from authorities if you buy it in such stores. Why take the small risk it is to order it online?
