Naphta replacement? Spanish people help.

I've been looking for naphta for two days in a lot of stores and I can't find it here in Spain. Hope someone can help me with it with a replacement for it, a product name or in the worst another solvent.

Maybe you can use [lighter fluid] if you can find it ..because lighter fluid is usualy napatha...

I have spent the last few year living in Latin America. I believe you can go ask for petrol de zippodor, or gasolina de zippodor. As in Zippo lighters

It won't be most most correct way to say it but they will know what your asking for.

Failing that you could always go the heavy naphtha route as in white spirits as long as they evaporate cleanly. The low odour or artists grade odourless thinners will probably do a good job if they are available. You will need to spend longer evaporating them down closer to precipitation levels though.

Try heptane.... for me was more easy than naphta

I started out using Low odor white spirit, it is an absoulte nightmare to evaporate. I used less per pull to ensure saturation and then freeze precipitate. Save the white spirit after freeze precipitation for next time. That way any spice left in is not lost and carried over to your next extraction.

The spice extracted using white spirit needs to be cut up and spread out to dry fully, usually about a week:shock:

Pure Heptane can be obtained here and they do ship to Spain.
